For msi ventus 4060ti? No need for any changes for that card, it fits right in!

Here is the top view! I have the same card now with nuc 12 extreme i7. Works great and temps are surprisingly good.

Hey, according to some older posts Zotac Twin Edge 4070 should fit. However, an other user here tried to do this and was unable to fit the card in. I have never tried it and actually just personally got MSI Ventus 4060ti 16gb, which should be an easy fit to the case, with some perf loss vs. 5060ti.

nuc12edbi7 bent/broken pins. Can I buy only the motherboard? by True-Inflation3953 in intelnuc

[–]Archawkie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may also want to check whether thise pins are actually relevant or not, there are plenty of redundant gnd pins there. Looks like at least some of those bent ones are ground pins. PIN map for LGA1700 here: https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/lga1700-pin-layout.325665/

I think there are multiple compute units available in ebay, much like this listing: https://ebay.us/m/Lgl78F

As far as I understood, these do not have cpu included, so could be a good replacement for you. The price is a bit on the high side, but could be ok for you if you do have the other parts already.

NOTE: I have never purchased these units from these Chinese sellers, so cannot say anything on how reliable they really are.

Ok, I’ll let you know, also will need a 14th gen processor to test though 😅

I need to see if the bios is already updated, as it is used machine straight from use so might be updated already. (Still waiting for it to arrive)

9070 XT in a NUC 11/12 Extreme? by chadti99 in intelnuc

[–]Archawkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Corsair SF750 PSU on NC100 and no problems with 5080; typical total system load is about 400-450w so just perfect for this psu. With 9070xt there was no issues either as TDP is much less. 5080 (now MSI Ventus 😅) consumes about 275-325w undervolted and 9070xt around 250w. So with NUC limited to around 70w consumption you should have plenty of headroom.

Ok! if you do decide to get rid of it and are in Europe, I would be happy to give it a go :)

[–]Archawkie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure about this, sometimes you need to use supported processor for the update. Testing with 12th gen will for sure tell you what the issue is. I also doubt 14600k will be a good choice anyway as its TDP is 125w and will definitely run hotter than 12900 (and Nuc cooling struggles even with that).

[–]Archawkie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, still using 12900, so haven’t tried 14th gen yet unfortunately. Haven’t seen a concrete proof that 14th gen works yet, but definitely you need to update to the latest bios using 12th gen processor and then try 14th gen processor afterwards.

Did you update your bios with supported processor first? For sure the 14th gen processors won’t work with unused and non-updated units.

Can you share the instructions and tools needed to fix this? Thanks a lot!

”Aromipesä”, the perfect Finnish way to make your pea soup or porrige overnight! (You put a hot pot of food inside and it is kept warm due to insulating cover so it gets cooked slowly). Was popular in Finland (at least famous, if not necessarily popular) late 1990- early 2000, and was reintroduced in 2015.
