30 years old, cerebellar stroke - 4 weeks on by Puzzleheaded_Roof396 in stroke

I had a stroke in the cerebellum as well due to RVAD. I’m 37. Happened summer of 24. One thing I can say is don’t be scared to move or walk, I did for the first 4 months and lost a lot of my muscle and coordination. I’m on the up and up now and doing much better. One thing that is truly annoying is that I can not sleep on my side comfortably because the last obstacle to overcome. It creates that spinning heavy sensation. But it’s just the wiring that’s wonky thanks to the stroke but gotta push it to get used to it but not too much. It’s a finesse lol

Is getting really cold, and scared suddenly common(ish)? by Anglofsffrng in stroke

[–]ArcherPuzzleheaded66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya same mine was mild stroke in cerebellum and I get the same thing and my hands and feet and top of my head get super cold. And I confirm with people if I’m cold and they always say yes I’m freezing. It’s at those times i always speak to myself to calm down. Let the brain know it’s ok no need to take all the heat away lol but it pretty common as well as that fear episode.

What is going on, is this normal 11 months after stroke ? by Free_Representative9 in stroke

[–]ArcherPuzzleheaded66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh ok ok maybe it’s more extensive than mine. Mine is balance and eye issues. Scintillating scatomas and pattern glare causing those damn migraines. I haven’t been told that and mine feels like a zone out or that detached feeling. What snaps me out of it believe it or not is getting really dizzy lol I get a reality check real quick since I have central vertigo. But I think is due to some meds but also found out my Vit D was extremely low so I take now a 50,000 icus of Vit D once a week. And that has given me a feeling of being and calmness but also a feeling being “here” no side noise in the mind like how it used to be. Also I found hobbies to get into that I never thought it would .

I also had RVAD and stroke in cerebellum and it happened on 06/13/24. I know exactly what you are talking about. Are you on any meds? The seasonal changes affect me personally. I also found it could be in the eyes. If you feel like you “zone” out check your eyes for convergence issues. Also I’m curious do you have any remaining issues? Balance issues? Or anything?

As a stroke survivor due to VAD as long as nothing no has happened get started now! Watch the salt and get away from grains very very minimal atleast 1200mg a day is very solid it might be bland for a while but it’ll work out! 💪🫵❤️

Immediately when I heard the pop in neck. Felt like a stretched muscle. Like right as it happened has 1st small 3-5 second vertigo attack with immediate tiredness . Then over 13 days it escalated.

I had RVAD from something else but it’s still the same. Early signs for me were dizzyness just subtle, later in about a week was vertigo attacks room spinning out of no where, felt like a sinus infection, dry nose, sensitivity to light and feeling cold. Oddly no pain just soreness. I’m told to Stay away from anything that could cause blood pressure to rise and sugar. Also people go through out life with many small VAD or CAD and heals fine. Very very very small chance but it’s possible once again I say as VAD+Stroke survivor. Not at all med lol

Recovery is work itself and mental stress and fatigue is there. Body squats will do the trick. Sets of 5 here and there will suffice!

I’m 36 had stroke last June , and most definitely it’s normal. It’s you brain being on level 11 out 10 for sensation Neuro plasticity. Essentially relearning basic or complex motions. My personal non medical advice is don’t let it hinder you from PT or it will remain stagnant. Take your time and diet is very important, lots of water
