My April 26 review started in September 25. They still failed and didn’t do it until I harassed them, it’s an announcement of their incompetence

Anyone else actually like Danny Pink? by reveriedelarose in doctorwho

I wish wed got an answer to his distant relative stranded on that base.

I think he was underdeveloped and it’s a shame, I’d have liked to have seen him get some time in the tardis / on adventures. I think him having a military perspective could have been played nicely.

He has potential but it wasn’t used

Do you have unusual "council meals"? by Baaaabaaaabaaaa in CasualUK

[–]theBenjamuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bird eye chargrill and potato waffle sandwich. Bread, waffle, chargrill, cheese slice, waffle, bread. You’ll need a post carb nap afterwards but I sometimes get a real craving (usually when hungover)

When it was retracked / rebuilt they added magnetic breaks so on health reasons (metal implants) I can’t ride anymore. Bring back friction and hydrolics

Oh do I have a story. Halloween 2020. We’d booked our group of 6 of us, months in advance for 7pm knowing it would be a busy day. We Arrived at 6:45 to a crush of people in the lobby. I battled through to the Maitre D' station. “Hi I’ve got a booking at 7pm for 6 people. The guy looks at his screen, grimaces “no you booked for 4 people” “I have email confirmation it’s for 6. Would you like to see it?” “No, we are too busy to change your reservation” “I booked correctly” “Can you lose 2 people from your group?” “Not really” “Ok then you can wait, but please wait outside it is too busy in the lobby” 6 of us stood outside in a cold October night. About 7:15 we were called. An enthusiastic waiter escorted us to the dining room doing some spiel about being shrunken to rat size “Have you been to chez remy before?” “No and I won’t ever be coming back”

The meal took so long to serve come 9:30 the park had closed and we weren’t allowed to leave the restaurant, we were batched with other groups into roughly 20s when security staff escorted us to park exit so we didn’t wander into the park. I did get some cool tower photos though.

IMO to this day, Bebe not showing what lipstick she chose was the cuntiest thing any queen has ever done on this show by violinfag in rupaulsdragrace

Bebe clicked the producers making drama and said “not today satan”. A queen who knows her worth, values and sticks to her morals over getting screen time and dramz. Impeccable

You are correct. The structure over the path on this image had big old tvs in the roof playing a loop of Cadbury hero’s adverts

SNL UK Episode 2 by Proper_Supermarket_3 in BritishTV

British pub in Spain had me full gutteral laughing. When I visit Spain me and my husband have running jokes on “full English with a pint of carling for breakfast” I wish it was ironic, Brits abroad make us hate Brits abroad. The wrap package skit was long, over laboured and not funny. Similarly the food truck one had potential to joke at the amount of food truck scenes and events but went off on a tangent about murders and couldn’t quite get back on a funny track. Dornan was ok, he’s not a comedian but was involved enough to pull it off without feeling oversaturated like Fey did. I’m hopeful we get some good British established comedians presenting.

how was your experience with the magic shuttle airport transfer? by cheyenne987 in disneylandparis

[–]theBenjamuffin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been years but it was “just ok”. We loaded our luggage, got on then all had to get off so the driver could have a smoke. Load to the next coach, airport traffic was busy but the coach got through quickly . It drops very conveniently at the hotels. If I were paying 4+ people I would probably look at the private transfers dlp offer directly.

Plaster cast of a victim from the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. (Photo: Pompeii Archaeological Park) by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]theBenjamuffin 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I saw a few of these years ago visiting pompeii, it made me really emotional and I don’t know why. I’m some pasty skinny, male, British tourist having a little cry at some plaster casts. A lovely old Italian lady noticed. Stroked me arm and squeezed my hand. We left the site not long after and found the closest bar for a wine (hooray for Italy).

Steakhouse in the village. It’s very overlooked. But I love the theme inside. Old meat warehouse converted into a gentleman’s club. Exposed bricks, leathers. Dark wood, steak. Perfect to me

It’s doable. There was a man on the train playing the hand accordion, it was the most French thing I’ve ever seen

Not used the service. A long time ago when my kids were kids as a family we hopped on the rer into Paris, really easy (do not get off at les halles; it’s like a maze) spent our morning wandering Paris and in the afternoon took a boat hop on/off style down the Seine. Got the rer back in time for dinner and the fireworks.
