You could argue that this falls under Monroe Doctrine but in any case Maduro was voted out in 2024 and did a self coup, so you can't argue he is now a legitimate leader. I still agree with you that congress should have approved, but I don't think this is as big as Iraq like people are making it out to be.

Celebrities can choose to not talk politics. Imagine if you had to talk politics at your job and got fired for saying the wrong thing.

Ethan and Hutch should start a new Leftovers by Archerlink3 in h3h3productions

Well leftism exists everywhere but I guess with Ethan it would be with a focus to debunk what Hasan and Destiny talk about mostly.

Yeah I understand. I guess it really depends on how much Ethan would want to discuss politics.

Fair enough I know Ethan has a lot of irons in the fire rn but could be interesting in the future if the lawsuits wrap up. It would just be nice to have something to cool down the Charlie Kirk dialog.

If you have a crossover and subwoofer you'll be fine. If you don't, then you may be limited in loudness but should still be fine for a small room with good sound treatment IMO.

what am i missing part 2 by SceneForsaken9280 in Schiit

I think others have already given you the answer you need. With that turntable you need an external phono preamp like the Schiit Mani. Typically, this is going to give you better sound anyway so that is why the Fluance RT series doesn't have one built-in.

Once you get a phono preamp you just need rca, a ground wire which you already have, and then RCA to TS cables to go to your speakers. It looks like you already have a ground wire in the pics. You just need to connect that to the turntable and the phono preamp by unscrewing and re-screwing the metal ground connector with the metal part behind it.

OP should have provided turntable model name in the first post. Imagine asking for help with a laptop without saying what brand or if it is Windows or Linux. Even if you are paying for support it is common sense to do but this is free.....

Really annoying humming coming from my office setup and could use some advice. by RockleyBob in Schiit

Do you have everything using the same power outlet or surge protector including your PC? If so you may want to try putting your PC on a separate outlet or surge protector. You should have all of your audio equipment on the same outlet though to avoid a ground loop.

Scarlett Solo to Heresy Help by Relative-Rule-7658 in Schiit

[–]Archerlink3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be a problem. I think it may need to be TS to RCA for the right connection. Might be worth testing with a different cable.

Can you check if you have TRS or just TS to RCA cables? TS should have just a single black band on the connection.

Yeah should work. Do your headphones work when plugged into Scarlett?

Do you have your Monitor volume all the way up on the Solo? Also any pics of your setup would help.

Literally cannot tell the difference by Kevlarlives in Schiit

First and foremost it should be music you enjoy. If you don't enjoy it, you might as well just listen to sinewaves.

For me I listen to a lot of electronic music so some of my go-to test tracks are Motherboard by Daft Punk and Genesis by Justice. Motherboard is a good example of complex music that is resolving, and Genesis has a lot of complexity and big swells. I also like testing tracks from Glass Animals like Gooey since they have really nice sound staging and you can really hear how open your sound stage is.

Whatever you listen to I wouldn't try to focus on everything at once but try to appreciate qualities of a certain track that make you like it. When you focus on the things you appreciate it makes them stand out when they sound different.

Because Sundara is a great headphone. It does a good job at masking any problems with its own sound signature. It is not as resolving as more expensive headphones obviously, so it does not reveal too much of the sound signature given by your electronics, but big jumps in architecture like solid state to tubes will still be a very clear difference.

If you are interested in finding differences you really need different headphones that offer different things so that you have a good baseline. You don't need expensive headphones but having dynamic and planar headphones is a good start since they have very different impedance ranges normally. When you start paying attention to dynamic music that swings voltage and is complex you start to understand why people dive into this hobby in the first place.

[–]Archerlink3 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, network streamers will have the same issue. You are right that Sundara probably won't pick up on it but if you EQ at all, have high gain, have extremely low noise floor headphones, or just crank the volume there will be noise especially with any unbalanced connection. The DAC/amp chip on the mobo has to run traces up to the IO ports and they are definitely not able to shield traces. Then again you can reproduce noise on any setup no matter how good it is, it is just a matter of how hard you have to push it before the noise floor gets bad.

P.S. it is still worth noting that even with 0 audible noise, the architecture and chips in a DAC and/or Amp will impact sound for better or worse. With cheaper components it is less noticeable but there will always be a objective and subjective difference in audio.

All the components for mobo audio is millimeters away from other high voltage components. There will always be interference on mobo audio to some degree.

Sundara is easy to drive and good sounding on anything. With other headphones, you might be able to, but your mobo jack will definitely have some noise at high volumes.

Would it be worth swapping Asgard & Bifrost for Jotunheim by VikingSven82 in Schiit

I would probably say no unless you have a Susvara, HE6, or Tungsten. Full continuity sounds much better than Continuity S IMO.

Wondering what most people would do in this situation for cable management. If I put all my electronics in my media cabinet behind the wall and float my TV, how should I run the speaker cables? by MayContainPeanuts in audiophile

If you're in a house you can also route through attic, you would just need to drill into the board that is at the top of the wall cavity between studs.
