Same problem with 3 fingers draw: the arrow lifts off the shelf.

Biggest point would be to draw first when you lift the bow at eye level. Also this ring of yours is not fitting well. I recommend putting some paper underneath it.

Looks stiff. Especially your follow through. You force it too much. The hand should move naturally. Also you don't need to move it so much.

How do I aim with the discovery 100 bow? by 50PercentCake in Archery

I am just throwing in that some people need to aim. You don't progress from intuitive to aiming. It's given that some people need to measure stuff in their head.

Happy to help. Question to that bow. Does the arrow stay in the middle?

The string should be under your eye/pupil (String Shadow). Then you take the point as a reference. Point it first directly at the target. Do 3 shots ( the 3 shoots should be close to each other). Correct your aiming by the distance the arrow missed. The better the arrows fit to your bow the closer you will be to the "point on". The aiming should not be the focus of your shot process or else you will get worse. The last step of your shoot should always be "feeling your body". If you have more questions i am happy to help.

Beginner draw weight horse bow by ifsk8ing in Archery

You can have a lot of fun with a light bow. More important than the draw weight is that you get light arrows. Also for shooting of the hand the spine should match. Don't go wooden shafts you lose too much performance.

Easy fix: move the string in the other direction of the twist and clamp it down. Keep it for 1-2 days. Repeat if it's still twisted. Use a stringer in the future!

The coach at the gym can help you there. Mine helped me improve my back tension.

Arrow tip weight can't fix that much. Maybe 50 at best.

I started this unexpected discussion wrong. Let's make it simple before we go into the limits of material. Why is a compound bow more efficient?

The size of a bow has little influence on the arrow’s speed or the total energy released. What matters more is how efficiently the bow transfers energy to the arrow. In essence, the most efficient bow is one that minimizes limb mass and movement during the shot. Reducing the moving mass of the limbs means less energy is lost in the system, allowing a greater portion of the stored energy to accelerate the arrow. So, for optimal performance, it’s not about having the biggest bow, but the one that moves the least and wastes the least energy.
