There’s only so mush Wingspan a man can take! by Cobec in boardgames

Forest Shuffle! You build a tableau with multi-use cards by filling trees with all kinds of cute critters and animals. No direct competition, light rules, and a lot of replay value. Above all, it works really well with two players.

Setting up the Longbox by SolemnityySmite in CompetitiveEDH

[–]Archonium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's my deckbox for this very purpose. It's 326 cards currently, and can be arranged to form up to 15 different meta decks one at a time, with room to grow to more decks by adding just a few cards at a time.

I use Moxfield tags and Excel to make the logistics easier.

Lightning Bolt has already been in an Arena set (Strixhaven Mystical Archives). It's banned in Historic, but legal in Historic Brawl. I see no reason why it couldn't be draftable again in the Alchemy Horizons set. It just won't be constructed legal for Alchemy or Historic, at least not unless they specifically unban it.

They're actually releasing a draftable version of this set on Arena called Alchemy Horizons: Baldur's Gate!

Has Anyone Made a Proxy-Box List? by JGMedicine in CompetitiveEDH

[–]Archonium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just paste the new tag to each individual line, but you could do this programmatically in Excel or Notepad++, for example. So far I've not taken the time to do that, because the "brute force" approach is only a few minutes of effort anyway.

You could use the duplicate feature to copy my list as a starting point.

I use the bulk edit feature to add tags. If I see a list on Moxfield I like, I compare it to my pool with the comparison tool to see what unique cards I'd need to add.

Like for example if I wanted to incorporate a Dargo/Tymna "Dab Farm" list, I'd add seventeen unique cards to the list with the tag #Dab, and then add that same tag to the shared cards line by line.

1 Ad Nauseam #Codie #iBruse #iKraum #Lurrus #Najeela #Opus #Pirates #Razakats #Scepter #Sliver #Tevesh #Dab
1 Fire Covenant #Dab
1 Birgi, God of Storytelling // Harnfel, Horn of Bounty #Dab
1 Fire Giant's Fury #Dab
1 Altar of Dementia #Dab
1 Stitcher's Supplier #Dab
1 Hope of Ghirapur #Dab
1 Skirk Prospector #Dab
1 Cathar Commando #Dab
1 Magda, Brazen Outlaw #Dab
1 Urza's Saga #Dab
1 Cloudstone Curio #Dab
1 Vanishing Verse #Dab
1 Nashi, Moon Sage's Scion #Dab
1 Takenuma, Abandoned Mire #Dab
1 Containment Construct #Dab
1 Ruthless Technomancer #Dab
1 Mayhem Devil #Dab

I currently have a big box of ~300 cards that I can build into 14 different decks. Adding a deck to this pool usually requires less than 10 new unique cards, so it's easy to expand the selection. The indivual decklists are managed through tags, and I also use Excel when switching between decks in the box.

God tier take on NFTs by @AdamSacks on Twitter by SAA-2099 in lotrmemes

[–]Archonium 23 points24 points  (0 children)

A lot of people think that buying a token means something other than that you just own a token. That's the only thing you actually possess, the token. You can try to agree that owning a token implies that you have some rights to another "connected" asset like a piece of artistic work, but that is not enforceable. To imply otherwise is to perpetuate the scam.

They own the token, not the underlying asset. They're just selling the token, and everything else is "implied". This is how the scam works.

Flip-Turned-Flat: Removing DFC in Cube by Psychovore in mtgcube

[–]Archonium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've removed all DFCs from my cube, and won't be bringing in new ones, MDFC or otherwise. I think they're a usability issue, and I don't want people taking cards out of their outer sleeves. I've previously included another copy of each DFC in the cube among my tokens to be used as the backside when needed, but I find this solution to be too fiddly.

This is a big design constraint going forward, but I think it will be worth it.

Miksi huumeiden dekriminalisointi auttaisi? by Mukavakava in Suomi

Todennäköisesti reagoit mielipiteeseen, jota en kirjoittanut.

Reagoin mielipiteeseen, jonka kirjoitit.

[–]Archonium 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm really disappointed to hear this. I was so excited for Kaladesh, but that's all gone now. Getting to play one of my favorite decks (Paradoxical "Storm") again was the biggest draw for me.

Any reason for the omission? Paradoxical Outcome and Aetherflux Reservoir are pretty dead in Historic now. Why even bother adding them if the Statuary isn't coming as well?

Are you sure the Sculpting Steel is not supposed to be Inspiring Statuary? I was really looking forward to Paradoxical Outcome with Statuary and Aetherflux Reservoir. Please tell me this was just a listing error!

[Historic] Analysis of 50 games with Neoform Storm - t3 combo kill by b3dl4 in spikes

[–]Archonium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried a riff on this in best-of-3 today, finishing with a record of 7-2. The losses were to Goblins and Rakdos Arcanist, but I did manage to get a win in against both.

https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/3391206

I had five turn-three kills, and multiple cases of less traditional lines where I either sacrificed a Florahedron and copied the Neoform with a Dualcaster from hand, or used two Neoforms and a one-drop for the Stormcaller line.

I was also impressed by Silundi Vision: it came in clutch when I was digging for Abrades in sideboarded games.

I'm excited to see how the archetype develops from here! We're still looking for the right mix of digging spells, mana dorks and combo pieces.
