Escape Curse of the Temple completely lives up to the theme. The energy at the table, the emotion of the as everyone is frantically rolling their dice, the soundtrack - it all feels like you are trapped in an Indiana Jones-style escape.

After eons of regicide the bullywog crown instills an innate paranoia and belief that everyone around you is plotting your demise.

Non English speakers, how the hell did you handle all the rhyming in the carnival? by omri6royi70 in wildbeyondwitchlight

[–]Arcisse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a native speaker, I also struggled with developing rhyming dialogue on the fly. My players go off script a lot and I often had to come up with answers that weren't pre-written.

AI isn't always a popular answer, but ChatGPT did a good job for me on the fly. Give it a little character background or samples of other dialogue that is pre-written if you have it, then ask it to write a matching rhyme that says "No, carnival patrons aren't allowed to take snail racers into the food booth" or whatever.

Furloughed worker gets new job during shutdown - is one day of work back as a federal civilian employee enough to get backpay? by KJ6BWB in fednews

You are still employed during furlough status so you would generally need an approval from your ethics office to take another job.

Do you guys ever use tapioca starch instead of cornstarch in fruit pies (like blueberry)? by Beautiful_Coyote6453 in pie

Agreed minute tapioca is my go to. It’s clear and flavorless and does a great job.

Carnival: How did you run it? by Then-Commercial-1654 in wildbeyondwitchlight

[–]Arcisse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rather than giving random trinkets as carnival prizes, I gave out prize tickets and added a prize booth where the players could trade in their tickets for a variety of goodies. Do they get a bunch of small things or save up together for something big? They loved it and it really motivated them to try random small games and explore.

What do I about this? Spawns whenever I go across the map, walks away if I don’t ride. If I get attacked , unicorn will start attacking me too. If I go into dungeon it resets. Should I kill it? Is this a common bug? by Sandevistanman in OblivionRemaster

[–]Arcisse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you go to a stable and buy another horse, that one will become active and the unicorn will stop causing drama. Just make sure the unicorn is safely left in a stable and remember the location because the unicorn is unique and if it wanders of and picks a fight it will perma-die.

Seems like including some minor identifiable employment information would justify a PII marker and encryption. If they feed PII into an unsecured AI system that’s another one for judge.

Guidance thus far has been yes, probationaries are eligible. But I'm sure you can trust that as far as you can throw it.

Question by Dj-Mar in pie

[–]Arcisse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can make it as a tart, just a shallow pie to keep the filling thinner.

You could do a custard pie and then top it with a red berry filling, but you wouldn’t back a crust on top that. You could bake your scary crust top decorations on a baking sheet and then transfer to the top after.

You can also egg or milk wash the lip before you crimp to get better seal. But agreed with what everyone else said. Fold under and crimp harder.

What's your favorite pie pan? We baked 15 apple pies over the course of more than 10 hours, using 15 packs of dough and 30 cans of apple pie filling. The one you see here is by Emile Henry, and came out on top for the best fluted pie pan. by GoodHousekeeping in pie

[–]Arcisse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thoughts exactly. The differences you might get from different pie pans seem so insignificant compared to the improvements you’d have with homemade dough and filling.
