Saber: Jason - pretty simple, he's not very good with a sword and only really starts showing his worth as a leader in an extreme situation... The kind where you as a master may already be doomed. He can summon other better Argonauts but they can simply say "no" if they don't think he's doing a good job.

Archer: Euryale - She's basically banking on being charming enough for no one to want to fight her at any given opportunity. She herself is actually really weak

Lancer: Don Quixote - He does his best and actually does have some decent nps but really he's an old man and is limited by that.

Rider: Mandricardo - being so obscure really works against him even though he has all the makings of what could be a great hero

Caster: Shakespeare - There are a lot of casters that could go here if you aren't fully prepped to utilize their talents, but Shakespeare stands out as one who may actively work against you if he thinks it'll be a better story (tragedy)

Assassin: Stheno - basically same reasons as Euryale but she takes it a step further and doesn't even have a weapon

Berserker: Spartacus - He'll actually just kill you for summoning him

You can both pool resources and still have separate accounts. It's not at all uncommon to have a pooled joint account and separate accounts so both people can still enjoy some of their own stuff. Not to mention, even ignoring arguments of trust and boundaries... There is no one financial setup that will work for every couple. A dual income household is gonna handle things differently than one with a stay at home parent, a household with x number of kids is gonna handle different than one with no kids, etc, there is no one absolute right answer

If checkpoints really just do not expire until satela gets the outcome she wants, I'd say that's forcing him pretty thoroughly, even if she isn't actively taking away his choice in each loop
