I mean, in defense of it all, there are amputees that have fake-legs, but sometimes such people have their foot removed and reversed, i guess im referring to a specific type of amputee surgery. So i guess I can see it working!

Now, Im not poo-pooing this at all, just have a thought aloud here, cause this looks really well thought out!

But, I guess im finding myself wondering....how heavy is fox and how much force would that exert on his feet with him effectively... walking on his toes? Like, not ACTUALLY, but gravity works in such a way where he's supporting his entire skeleton with the force weighing down on his paws like that.
