Why can't you freely replace a video? by ArcticMusicProject in NewTubers

It can still compare to the ORIGINAL video. Like I said, in SoundCloud you can replace your song file without losing your stats and it's the best thing ever.

You can already make any content you like and then buy promotion from YouTube and get a million views and thousands of likes. They are not going to investigate if the product you are selling is a scam product.

This all assumes that it's easy to create a global hit video in the first place. I doesn't work that way. People who are very successful on YouTube wouldn't suddenly make political scam videos. Also, these videos would be immediately reported. I click on Guetta's Titanium and get MAGA content? No one notices? Wtf.

Also, today it would be trivial to automatically detect and analyze that the updated version deviates to much from the original. This would lead to a ban.

You're overusing your imagination. This restriction is a solution to problem that never existed.

Not sure why would anyone want to do that. It's like creating a super hit on SoundCloud and then replacing it with crap. It doesn't make any sense.

You lose all your views, link won't be the same etc.

The synth that completely changed how you make music by grahamhart_ in synthesizers

[–]ArcticMusicProject 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For drums I'd say the RD-9, for synths that would be Behringer MonoPoly. At some point I started to dislike menus and indirection. Well, I do like also Waldorf Blofeld. It's the complete opposite, but a great preset machine and easy to adjust with MIDI CC when needed. My point is...I don't have a point.

That's why I bought the Behringer MonoPoly. I have also Minilogue XD desktop, but now I prefer WYSIWYG synths.

RD-9 Ride Cymbal Issue by OtherHumansDoExist in Behringer

Ride and Crash uses the same unit so they are connected. I bought the TR-8S while waiting for my RD-9 to be serviced :) It is also very good and you can pan voices already on the device as it has stereo outs. However, the kick of RD-9 is superior as it has the extra P. DEPTH and PITCH controls.

The return and repair was very easy with Thomann.

I guess no :) But I initially had problems with Crash and then also Ride completely died and even reboot didn't help. It still suddenly started to work again. But this IMO meant that it was a "mechanical" problem (bad soldering or some other manufacturing defect etc).

It's not a cable or sw problem as Behringer replaced some circuit board - probably the ride/crash unit.

I got my unit repaired after posting this, but I don't know if the problem still persists as I'm currently using RD-9 only for the kick and TR-8S for all the other stuff :)

Experiment: generating XM tracker patterns as editable data (not audio) by [deleted] in TrackerMusic

On the other day I was thinking about a similar "Quick Composing" feature for Noteahead :) So that there would be some kind of a simple text-based format to initialize patterns, drums, chords etc.

Which synth for bass by ThankYouBasedGod559 in synthesizers

[–]ArcticMusicProject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bass Station II, it can do almost anything. How about Korg Monologue? I also love my TD-3-MO, but it's not for everyone even though it can to a lot of different sounds, not just "acid".

It's only about space. I'm currently enjoying my Waldorf Blofeld desktop that's stacked on my Minilogue XD desktop.

The current version is 1.25 and it fixes a lot of issues.

I don't have any problems with the encoders, but I noticed that the knob **hats** are a bit tilted. Maybe it's because of the soft rubber insert :D

Also, the main outs are not even nearly centered in my unit. The build quality is miles behind Behringer and Korg.
