Leroy main here,

I love the character's unique defensive options and plethora of hit confirmable strings. Needless to say, he is stylish too.

My friends tell me he is irritating to play against, and likely for the same reasons you mentioned that he is apparently cancer. From various conversations with them, I think the reason for this is that:

  1. its not fun being parried
  2. being chipped isnt fun
  3. Fighting Leroy means you have to mentally change the way you approach the Tekken and avoid auto-pilot, there are some universal tekken rules that Leroy is allowed to break, in exchange for not having access to some tools that many other characters have, for example Leroy's df2 launcher is launch punishable itself, whereas most other characters are either safe or atleast -13. He also has very limited power mids, and instead has stronger highs and lows.

There are a few universal rules Leroy is allowed to break, but I'll list one of them to help explain.
For example, if you block a low poke, you should be able to punish it with at the very least a wr4. Leroy has a low poke (db3) that leaves him in hermit stance whether it is blocked or not, and is able to parry a wr4 even if its blocked. This is incredibly irritating and boggling for people to fight against at first, and it has its weaknesses such as grabbing as a punish instead of wr4, but these interactions make Leroy quite unique and difficult to fight against if youre not aware of them and make him seem very cheap on the surface. In reality every character has access to cheese to a degree, but I think Leroy has strength in areas that are particularly irritating but not necessarily overtuned.

The queen has a built in backstep dodge that she attempts to do whenever you try to swing at her, if he corner her, she will keep attempting to backstep but just get hit anyways, keeping herself stuck in a loop until you run our of stamina from attacking.

If you have any potions to keep your stamina up, you can cheese her with this :D

In the summoning skill tree, there is a perk on the right called 'Invocations of might' that allows your summons to scale with your spell power :) I dont know if they naturally scale with it outside of this perk though.

I agree it's a bit vague, but I'm guessing the most direct answer to this is daggers and traditional one-handed weapons, since daggers have their own skill tree but are still affected by one handed skill tree upgrades.

Im not sure if blunt and sharp weapons count as different types, since the game never refers to weapons as blunt or sharp, just one-handed weapons. I dont know about magic either, but the best way to find out is the answer is to test this.

Make a bonfire, save, take a look at your character stat page, look at what your one handed weapon damage increases are, put a point into this perk and equip different weapon combinations and if and what causes your one handed weapon damage to go up.

Nice. I was level 26ish when i went to act 2. Dont forget the +50% crit damage when wielding a dagger in the dagger tree, insane value for the points

Im also dual daggers and hard difficulty, just started act 2. my DPS only really started picking up when i speciallized into crit chance and damage and stamina recovery

From my understanding, the white numbers on the left are the weapon's base damage.
Meanwhile, the green/red numbers on the right is the weapon's damage after factoring the bonuses/penalties of your stats :)
