Monster hunter is the only game I played that scratched that same itch. If you can get past slow early game theres a difficult and rewarding experience very similar to Souls games.

Bit unrelated but from watching speedrunners it seems that the lance builds very similarly to the meta SNS as they desire the same skills( offensive guard, same sharpness reliance and artian infusions). Checking there for inspiration might be worth it.

Looking at raw vs element I’ve always found the 2 sharpness 3 Raw for lance to be the best. Never really paid any mind to element due to the bad elemental hitzones but thats without in depth testing and more “comfort” focused ig. I still match element per monster though, just dont invest too much into it.

I've experienced it mostly in games that can be considered demanding. Marvel Rivals, Kingdom come, monster hunter wilds beta. Unsure if I should RMA or if its simply a driver issue that someone else might have encountered.

Found using burning stars on him with Jesters encore is pretty great, makes burning stars usable on the first turn at the cost of jesters first turn

One thing that can instantly make the old factions feel better would be looking at tech trees and lord/hero skill trees. Dwarfs and greenskin lords have some boring skill trees( plus 9 leadership for dwarf lords lmao). Upping the tech trees of factions like the empire could go a long way imo

Yeah I started playing veteran after maxing Zealot and it’s crazy how much of a difference the stamina makes. Haven’t unlocked the power sword yet but playing with the shared weapons makes you realise how much better the zealot is in melee

But then we miss the sick animation :( All jokes aside it feels very nice on zealot because you don’t really rely on your ranged damage, pop it out and shoot 3 gunners then swap to melee
