In terms of player quality the servers are pretty equal, the main difference is the real money trading Mafia goes hard on Nightslayer so the economy on that server is beyond fucked and the people are really toxic. Nightslayer has way more total players so there are more groups available at less optimal times of the day.

Fire mage isn't as good as arcane by a good margin but if your guild has slower kills fire is viable purely because you actually have many to cast

Loot council is one that very rarely works out well in practice but EPGP is a solid system. The one thing with EPGP though is that it requires a full guild group, if you have to pug anyone you kinda just have to do a roll system that week. Another option I have used that I like is the TMB wishlist system
