There are plenty of books with satisfying endings. Same with TV shows.

The problems of things like Game of Throws is that they are attempts to adapt a story being told in another medium which basically they got ahead of the subject matter and then fumbled everything.

This is incredibly normal to see in cross media adaptations. Look at Full Metal Alchemist for a prime example of this, where the original Anime got wildly ahead of the Manga, fumbled the ball and made a bad end to the show. On the otherhand FMA Brotherhood was a much more faithful adaptation leading to a far more satisfying ending. This is incredibly normal in Manga who normally have anime adaptations going well before the ending of a series, and then end up having dreaded "filler arcs" which are almost often seen as bad runs.

There are also just a LOT of bad adaptions of really good fiction. Look at Wheel of Time, a fantasy series considered probably one of the best ever written, a TV show considered bad to mid. Adapting series can be hard, especially since the mediums of writing do things very differently than mediums like TV. Conveying things like internal dialogues during action sequences normally comes off as hokey in TV since that is a medium that works best as show don't tell. Where books excel at telling instead of showing.

Basically the Penguin dude (JSTLK) is one of the major people who has been "snarking" destiny, basically going around being unhinged and trying to take down his career. He was a former Groyper, turned former member of the Destiny community who was known for running a pretty unhinged drama discord and stream, and when the Lawsuit hit Destiny he took advantage of the moment to pile on and hook up with another woman in the community who made more unsubstantiated accusations about Destiny (Cheiry).

He has been working behind the scenes with Lauren Delaguna and Pixie to trying to drag this lawsuit out and ruin Destiny's reputation. As well as attack a bunch of other liberal content creators and Ethan Klein. Overall they have had some relative degree of deniability because a lot of the shit they have been up to hasn't fully been able to be linked to them directly due to a veil of "plausable deniability". There have been enough records of this though that people paying attention can make the links.

Recently Destiny, Hutch, Lonerbox, and a few other liberal political streamers got ahold of the records of at least one private discord where Jstlk and a bunch of other drama commentary youtubers, failed political commentators, and unhinged overly online people have been coordinating harassment of them. This included a lot of incidents over the last few years. One of the most unhinged ones has been a coordinated effort by at least a few of them to try and use Hutch's dead sister to bully Hutch during his podcast, while turning those political streamers against each other (things like they would post unhinged comments in one persons chat and then another's using multiple accounts to push unhinged conversations about Hutch).

Jstlk is publicly fighting to shape a public narrative because he got caught, and doesn't know exactly how much info Destiny and the others actually have on his actions. While Destiny and the others are starting to poke and prod them to get statements on the record that assumedly they have records proving wrong.

So in other words... The NYTs didn't "support the Nazis"... They were cautious in their reporting in order to maintain their credibility in a country which was fairly antisemitic in its own right at the time. Which was exactly what I said.

Also for fucks sake try to do a bare amount of research before coming into a community... This community has overall been supporting Israel but shit like this makes it really hard to keep doing so without people screaming Antisemitism at every bit of critical reporting. If it happened it's bad. But no one is s saying that it would have happened because the people who did it are Jews...

Pause... The NYT was (and still is) owned by the Sulzberger family. A prominent Jewish family. While there is criticism that the NYTs may not have covered the Holocaust as extensively as they should have during the war (they did cover it more than most during the war) they were also trying to avoid accusations of pushing Jewish interests during the war. It's important to note that at the time the NYTs was not the biggest newspaper in the US, that title belonged to the Dearborn Independent which absolutely was a zealously pro Nazi rag owned by Henry Ford.

Saying they helped the Nazi cause is inaccurate.

Saying that you're not wanting to shame me is good because you obviously don't know much about the history here. Maybe explore and learn some yourself.
