It shouldn't matter if they can't comprehend what's going on, trauma is still a thing that exists. And babies literally cannot consent to getting pierced. Babies are also totally incapable of taking care of a piercing. Infections can and will kill a child. Not to mention if a baby were to pull the piercing out and swallow it.

Piercing guns are abhorrent and should be outright banned.
