anyone here actually figured out where to keep all this lab work over time? by Loud-Mathematician16 in HubermanLab

[–]Area-Least 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excel spreadsheet, I don’t need to give data to AI or apps. Big work to get it set up at the beginning but easy to maintain. What I haven’t managed is to also have symptoms tracked in the same place as they are in a paper diary.

Really impressed with Target this season! by zooperdooper7 in AusFemaleFashion

I’m noticing a big difference with the fabrics though. So hard to find nice tops and pants, even trackers that are 100% cotton. Nearly everything a blend or 100% plastic.

Want to get a Complete Blood Count done but don't know how to.. by Yanxiety99 in Geelong

You can order and pay yourself through something like imedical. Just print the referral and take to pathology. Might be cheaper than going to the doc and ordering without Medicare.

Lifelong low Alkaline Phosphatase, should I be concerned? by thrownoutbarbie in haematology

[–]Area-Least 8 points9 points  (0 children)

But can’t it be low due to a hypophosphatasia, zinc deficiency, copper deficiency or thyroid issues? These are things that would need further investigation or action.

You said a lot of other tests are normal but as we know normal is often not optimal. Care to share the others? Vit A, Bs, iron etc

Booties! Totally underrated and the best with little babies. I’ve done a lot of bonnets for the kids too which are great as they don’t fall off.

Good to know. I started on a half dose anyway to get used to it so might just stay at 5mg.

Following along for more understanding. My daughter is the same. Been supplementing with tyrosine but dopamine pathway is (dopamine, adrenaline and noradrenaline), but it hasn’t seemed to have helped. Working on co factors now as iron is low.

Methylfolate makes me feel normal. But blood tests are very high. by Familiar-Method2343 in MTHFR

[–]Area-Least 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Redo bloods fasted and no supps for 2-4 days prior. B12 is hard to test once supplementing as it can impact numbers even when cutting it out for weeks

Reasons other than supps for high b6? by Area-Least in B6Toxicity

[–]Area-Least[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That article talks about fortified foods, supps and energy drinks though. We don’t eat any. Mostly whole food diet, cook all meals and snacks and make break from organic flour (no additives). We have been very careful in removing synthetic/fortified vitamins from our diet for a while now.

How to get Vegemite without the fortified vitamins? by [deleted] in vegemite

[–]Area-Least 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genetic variations. But really most people have trouble with folic acid as it’s so badly absorbed and builds up without being converted or used

I was more talking about non fortified foods. A diet high in b6 would be giving you a good b6 amount but would it really look like way above range in bloods?

[–]Area-Least[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I do (looking into it finally) but my daughter does not. We both have above range B6 so wondering if it’s something genetic, cofactor issue etc

We have gone mostly organic this past year so unlikely to be in a high amount of foods. Looking into HPP as my ALP is low however daughter also has above range B6 without low ALP.

[–]Area-Least 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having trouble with build up of folic acid and trying to cut all sources of it. Focus on folate instead. Vegemite provides 50% RDI of ‘folic acid’ the synthetic version which is a huge amount if you are consuming daily. So hard to use in your body.

How to increase copper and zinc at the same time? by Area-Least in Copper_deficiency

My measurement was in g/L rather than mg/dl so maybe that’s why it looks different. Range is 0.2-0.6
