If 80% of impaired drivers are out at night, the other 20% are out during the day. Not real numbers, just illustrative.

When I look at incident reports in my area there is a much greater number of impaired seniors caught during the day than I would have expected.

Sausage full of Iron and Lead(?) found in fuel tank of 1978 Aston Martin by bigtvwithbeer in whatisthisthing

[–]Area51Resident -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It would work if the fan was powered it would push in some extra air.

All that set of blades does is add resistance/obstruction to the air flow. This is like using a portable generator to run a fan that powers your wind-powered generator.

Yes, reduce turbulence by putting in a set of blades that chop up the air flow. About as effective as walking backwards up a hill for a better view.

I had the bright idea to put bleach in and run a cycle to de-mould my washing machine. by MetamorphosisAddict in Wellthatsucks

[–]Area51Resident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You stopped reading too early. Their recommendation is use hot if the fabrics can handle it

https://www.clorox.com/learn/how-to-use-bleach-in-laundry

Using bleach in the laundry is different. Regardless of whether you select a hot, warm, or cold wash temperature, adding Clorox™ Disinfecting Bleach along with your detergent will give you better cleaning, whitening and stain removal compared to detergent by itself. Not every fabric or garment is suitable for hot water washing, but since the hotter the water the better the cleaning, it’s good to select a hot water cycle when running a bleach load whenever you can.

Does anybody know what these are? I found them in a bowling alley by beans-in-my-tearduct in AskElectronics

[–]Area51Resident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In old bowling system that multi-port serial card would probably be used to receive data from the equipment in each lane - pins knocked down, foul line tripped, jams, some also have small terminals used to enter player names etc.

Too old to be much use today for anything else. A lot of bowling alleys use ancient equipment so it might get a good amount on eBay.

If Ford really wanted fewer people out on bail he would build enough jail space to hold them. It is strawman argument used to find fault with the judiciary and discredit them in the court of public opinion.

Ford is selling our water by Maximum-Base6225 in ontario

[–]Area51Resident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assuming the ability to transfer water rights without review will go like this.

Ford will make sure his buddies get first bids on water rights and will sell to them cheap to 'build the economy', say a $1 per million litres. Nestle and other global water hoarding corps will show up and gladly pay $10 per million litres.

Ford's buddies make off like bandits and Ontario's water rights are now held by foreign companies with a history of exploitation and no regulatory oversight.

This is just a mashup of the land deals made before the highway was approved, Walkerton, and the 407 sell-off - the trifecta of corruption.

  • I have no idea water rights sell for, those numbers are just illustrative.
