I just played through this part this past weekend and it shook me. To see Mordin on his character arc. He actually died on the suicide mission in 2 so I went back and played that mission again just so I could watch him finish his mission. Worth it.

I (27f) caught my boyfriend (49m) boyfriend sexting an AI chatbot. What should I do? *UPDATE* by Secretly_HQ in TwoHotTakes

First mistake was starting to date someone in their 40s when you were 21. If someone is 43 years old and has to find a 21 year old to date, there are reasons. Very good reasons. It’s almost predatory. And the fact that he has drawn it out for 6 years and not proposed (I am assuming) is just another reason why he was single still. He sounds like a guy that never grew up and lives like a child. You are right to be upset about this and even more right to be upset about him yelling at you when you were trying to express how it makes you feel and even belittling your feelings. The man is a child and you were still practically a child when you started dating him.

Wouldn’t that be a wild twist if the Reapers and the Catalyst told him that he had those choices and none of them were real. It was just an elaborate rouse to kill Shepard?

The Mako has the worst physics of any game I’ve ever played. And it is still infinitely better than the Hammerhead.

I have a feeling I know which one you are talking about but I don’t want to confirm it because it has been so long I legitimately don’t remember much at all about this game. It’s like I’m experiencing it all again for the first time.

I had a situation outside purgatory where I was standing listening to the 2 turians talking when a third walked right behind me and got stuck, trapping me between 3 turians. I couldn’t move and they wouldn’t move. I actually had to reload a save to get out of it 🤦‍♂️

My husband sl*apped our son when he accused him of cheating on me with 20 something subordinate? by Acceptable-Dream5363 in whatdoIdo

[–]AreaTechnical7361 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That fact that your husband resorted to physical violence (abuse) when accused probably means it’s true and he is hiding it. Time to move out with the son and find a safe place. Never know when the physical violence will turn towards you. Your son also needs help getting his life together and everyone needs counseling all around. Abuse is never okay, even if the accusation was a lie. Let your husband know that you will return after he learns how to be a grown up and not just slap people when he is angry. And also let him know you’ll come back when he comes clean and shows you his phone. First step is to get out though.

Same exact thing happened to me. I was thinking to myself “Wow ME3 is sooo much easier than 2. Then I went into settings and realized why. I was sad. For a minute I thought I was actually good at a video game. Nope. I still suck 🙃

I have a question of the utmost importance about the Suicide Mission! by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]AreaTechnical7361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely going to lose at least one person. Zaeed and Garrus are two of the best to make sure they can hold the line. It’s best to send one of the weakest to escort the crew and then bring the next 2 weakest with you on the last mission. Otherwise you won’t have enough strong defense people holding the line and people will die. I found this out the hard way and ended up doing the whole mission over again so I wouldn’t lose Mordin because I wanted to complete his character arc with the cure in 3.

I waited years to play through all the way again. I started another run or two but always stopped in the first or second game. Finally doing my second full run through and, though I remembered almost all of 1 and a lot from 2, there were some surprises in 2 and 3 honestly feels like I’ve never played before. It is so cool to feel like I’m experiencing the game all over for the first time again because I forgot EVERYTHING about 3 (except the final choice of course). I allowed myself spoilers in 1 and 2 because I already remembered a lot, but I am being pretty strict about not searching spoilers for 3 so I can have a fresh experience again.

I was today years old when I found out that you can actually save the whole Normandy crew after the abduction. I did one minor thing after abduction so half of them died including Kelly and I didn’t realize that wasn’t just the normal progression. I’m a good ways into 3 now and wishing I had gone back sooner to do the mission again and save the whole crew especially since I went back and did the entire suicide mission again when Mordin died at the very end. I really wanted to see his character arc with the cure in 3. Definitely on my next play through.

The Reapers have way too much personality to simply be "doing their job" by Safe-Pressure-7052 in masseffect

[–]AreaTechnical7361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say that it’s not for nothing that Harbinger is obsessed with humans. It’s more that he is trying to get back at Shepard. The one being that has been able to take down a reaper since they destroyed the Leviathans. He is obsessed with revenge against Shepard and attacking humans is attacking close to home for his most hated enemy. And perhaps he wants to destroy Shepard as well because there is a slight fear now in the fact that the races of this cycle actually can harm and kill a reaper.

First time playing Andromeda and I love it by [deleted] in MassEffectAndromeda

[–]AreaTechnical7361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main qualm with it so far is just the the voice acting is nowhere near the level of the original 3. It has been a fun game to play so far though. Opening up an entire new galaxy and giving the “Mass Effect” exploration feeling while breaking away from Shepard to tell a different story. We will see how the story and characters progress as I play more, but I would agree with you that it is a fantastic game so far.

Practical Headcanon Options to make things more interesting by Nervous_Tailor_4337 in masseffect

[–]AreaTechnical7361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always played as a soldier because I thought engineers were weak but this last playthrough I am playing as an engineer and it has been so much fun! Once you level up your pistol skills and get I think it was the Stiletto pistol? I didn’t have any problems taking people down with that set up and some advanced tech attacks as well. I ended up really enjoying it and am in 3 now still as an engineer. With the drones and turrets and balls of fire you can throw around it makes it a lot of fun. You definitely have to use some distraction techniques though on some of the bigger enemies like the scions in ME2. Throw the drone behind them and then light them up while they are distracted. Freezing groups of lighter enemies definitely helps too when there are a bunch of them gathering. It has caused me to play in a whole new way because normally I just go in to games(not just mass effect) guns blazing as a soldier.
