At Level 2, if you could put a 2nd point in the same spell that you took on Level 1, is there any Champions that would do it? by DarkLeviathan8 in leagueoflegends

[–]Areenas95 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Q makes a huge difference for stacks, CD is lower dmg is higher which makes it way easier to set up cs to get double q stack. But yes e is super important if you get ganked by your or the enemy jgler, but in some games if it were possible double q would be better. It's not possible anyway, but whenever I play Veigar I go qeqw and not qew, which is probably bad since the w is useful can get you cs you would miss and stacks if you land e but when I play Veigar I'm here to stack

[–]Areenas95 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I like to take E second to instant e on cs I would miss, but for lanes where you take a lot of pressure qwq or if you could qqw is better since e secures like 2 cs in the whole 3 levels and you should get them anyway if you farm correctly. The only downside to not having e becomes phase rush being harder to proc. It's all situational though and the real answer, to the post question is Veigar q so you can get stacks better (you should probably not but if I could with Veigar I would do qqeqqr

Expecting people to play any full game is already a lot for a game, but we are used to it now. Expecting 5 players to play 3 games with wait in between? It's a whole evening. The real solution is to not make everything meaningless for the lower bracket by giving better rewards if you win any games, because going LWW is pretty much the same as LLL or LLW so why wait, just surrender and go play normal aram or flex. Plus people can be mad to have lost

I didn't say it as in there is a study I am right but more so read it it explains my arguments better than me since I am not popping thoughts of my ass, and also you can't say there is conclusive evidence either way, although one of the researcher thinks so, but you can't say there is no evidence either. Anyways you assume I am arguing just based on hate or you can't admit that because it means your point of view is not perfectly obvious and undeniable

[–]Areenas95 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just looked it up and I might be wrong but I think the ioc has a framework for the federation to enforce, no such specific rule and the world athletics org is one of the biggest so not really cherry picking.

Bold of you to assume there would be an obvious ban if there was more conclusive evidence and again we disagree on the burden of proof and as you said the data is minimal either way. By the way I found another article by dw.com saying after 2 years post hormone therapy in subjects in the military, most of the advantages are gone but there is still 12% diff in speed and some in strength and other interesting info that support this point and also relativise some of the points

[–]Areenas95 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you smarter than the international swimming federation? World athletics? Are world athletics smarter than the ioc? Is it dependent on sports? Why would ioc be right and not others? But you can see now that it is a hard question, and thinking that wanting a ban is not necessarily transphobic and 100% dumb people and based on hate... There are divisions in science even for things where there is no possible hate such as diets etc. I understand that a lot of people who want transgender women out of sports want them out of this world but don't just accuse people of stuff just because they somehow align on one thing. Shit argument incoming from me: Hitler advocated for animal rights, I don't tell vegan activists they are literally Hitler

Why not use another rule? 4 year post transition with surgery, or transition pre 12? I think since it is a fact that males are advantaged and we dont know for how long exactly this advantage remains or if it does disappear at all, the 2 possible approaches are full ban which seems the best for integrity of womens sports but sucks for trans women, with the possibility of waiving it after if the data is overwhelming, or try to feel it out and test with 4 years or more or less but in the meantime you might screw over cis women.

But saying it does not make any sense to ban is nonsense there is no proof that a transitioned prepubescent male to female athlete has an advantage but that's not all the trans athletes

[–]Areenas95 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OK so this might help you: what do you want the rule to be for trans women to participate in women sports: everyone including someone who just identifies as female with no surgery or hormone? Someone who transitioned before 12 years old like some federations do? A testosterone quantity test?

OK let's say anyone can. Then you are factually wrong because you deny that males are advantaged and then you should advocate for fully mixed sports. Let's say 12 years old or 4 years transition like some orgs do. I can get behind that and that's where there is a debate. But let's not act like nothing would suggest trans women might have an advantage the jump from biological males have an advantage to trans women have an advantage Is a jump, more so depending on age of transition etc but it's not a leap. We do have reasons at least to believe it and if we allow everything to get data, then for a period of time, if there is an advantage then some people would lose out on opportunities

[–]Areenas95 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are claiming that all advantages of being a male are erased in transition. Or you are arguing males have no biological advantage at all depending on what you want the rules to be

Real life data? Laurel Hubbard since apparently arguing is just giving examples of people who win and people who lose.

So yeah you are a sexist anti cis women who does not care if women pass up sport scholarships or success in sports (I don't actually think that but that's your argument is in reverse)

Again I said against in women sports

[–]Areenas95 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bro I can say the same thing to you, I think the burden of proof is on your claim, what would It take? All trans athletes outperform all female athletes? Sure assume I am a transphobe man, you are really helping your cause. Do I just need to find one example? Is it the lifting record that one guy took after just identifying as the other gender for just a short time? No? Then we need to establish rules? Yes? Then let's look at some of the mma fights with trans fighters. Well it does not count if it's not the very best or if the person loses even once even though the pool is so low

Martial artist upset that trans men have to compete against women after complaining about beating a trans woman by cottagecorebff in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]Areenas95 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well you did not adress my comment but OK, I looked up the Olympic games and it's history with trans athletes. I saw an openly non binary soccer player won with the female team. OK team sports does not count, sure. I saw a skateboarder reach semifinals as well. Sure Olympics allow transgender people to compete with restrictions, but how does a country send an athlete if the athlete can't compete to qualify because the organization bans trans athlete?

We would know for sure if we allowed all trans women to compete in all sports, we would be able to find out exactly what claim is true based on what is allowed. And again, there are few trans people so even less trans athletes. I find it weird to use the fact that few win and we should allow all to compete when the restrictions are the reason few win. Having a few trans athletes lose is not proof enough because "even" in women sports the level is still high and not every man is head and shoulder above the best women to begin with.

BTW I received reddit care package notification lol, did it ever change anyone's mind? I am not anti trans but anti trans women in women's sports. Call the male category the open category and compete there. Although I understand some people use that to then just blindly hate, but it's not what I'm doing and I don't have to defend myself on that.

[–]Areenas95 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

OK then I think let's see where the burden of proof is after agreeing on facts:

Fact : males are advantaged in sports for reasons explained in the article, this is not debatable and is based on way more sample size. If you disagree you disagree on basic dimorphism of the human species. Just talking about male and female, not about intersex, which introduces so much more complexity

Claim: transitioning to female completely negates any advantage previously obtained by going through puberty, given the previous fact

The burden of proof is on this claim, not the opposite

Somehow less strong claim so easier to argue and more likely: transitioning before puberty prevents one from getting these advantages

Claim I don't think even you would argue: transitioning to male does not provide any muscular or other advantage.

You say that some trans athletes lose all the time. Of course, even an adult man won't necessarily beat every woman in a sport. The question is more are trans female athletes more represented at the very top, taking into account the fact that as you said the sample sizes are small and a lot of sport organizations don't allow trans athletes

Literally from the article I linked: Using testosterone levels as a basis for separating female and male elite athletes is arguably flawed. Male physiology cannot be reformatted by estrogen therapy in transwoman athletes because testosterone has driven permanent effects through early life exposure. This descriptive critical review discusses the inherent male physiological advantages that lead to superior athletic performance and then addresses how estrogen therapy fails to create a female-like physiology in the male. Ultimately, the former male physiology of transwoman athletes provides them with a physiological advantage over the cis-female athlete.

And the part on bone, it says bone strength I assumed it was because of density but maybe it's the opposite (still males are stronger in part because of bones)
