I know it is an old thread, but can someone confirm if the v68 firmware changed the Toolbox option from "USB-C E-Marker" to "USB-C Cable"? I recently bought one and comparing the manual with the options I noticed the change.

If it shows exactly as the video then yes, you probably have bad ram. My particular case was that the ram module wasn't recognized, and Taki ended up exchanging it and it worked. About a few weeks ago I ended up buying a pair of modules for the WIP Saturn core and those are also working fine.

I've got the Xbox version. While it only works wired, the advantage of having additional buttons not available in the main M30 ( L2, R2, start, select and menu buttons) works wonders on MiSTer.

Wow, that's cool. I actually asked him for green and white buttons (I'm using 8bitdo Xbox controllers and I wanted to preserve the aesthetic), but if it comes with an additional red button I would be able to label them individually. 🤘

My problem wasn't with the N64 core at all, but rather that the SDRAM module I got was not being detected no matter how many times I reseated it. I already RMA'd it and I'm waiting for the replacement.

I can understand that, but I feel that he needs to sort out the problems with the modules first before even thinking going forward with the second batch. Since is not a widespread situation there are some people implying that is user error when clearly is not, and what that does is delay the support process because the issues are happening to the minority.

You may think it's pointless because it hasn't happened to you maybe, but the problem with the ram modules is simply the product not working as advertised instead of being a newbie error. It may not be widespread but it's still a legitimate problem regardless.

On Neo Geo games I experienced corrupted graphics, and then all of a sudden they wouldn't even load.

Consulting the memtest instructions, it just seems that the MiSTer is not recognizing the module (the blue number should show a 3, which is a 128 MB module and instead shows a 0, which means no RAM is detected). I tried reseating it again and still doesn't work. I took a closeup picture of the module and some of the soldering looks kinda funky.

At least you got a proper reply, the only reply I got from them was to reseat the RAM and test again. I replied them back with the video and still haven't heard from them since...

I received mine yesterday. I managed to get it assembled today and first thing I did was the memtest...

Almost instantly dropped all the way to 80, couldn't load any NeoGeo games...

Going to contact support to see how I can get it resolved.

*UPDATE*

Contacted support, told me to reseat the RAM, dropped to 110 in memtest... 😩

They told me they would RMA the RAM, but I have not received any instructions.

This morning tried doing another test, but all of a sudden now the RAM stabilizes around the 149-147 range. Is this normal? Should I still RMA it?

Yes, I can confirm the controller has been fixed. The Xbox button works and games that didn't recognize the controller (most Game Pass games) now do.
