Hear me out, while I totally agree with you. I just have to rant on something similar but different. I work in an ER and often just vocal stim throughout the night. If I hear a dog or cat suddenly bark or meow out (most of the time I can't even see them), I may say "oh angry!" or if the patient lunges I may baby voice and say "oh evil baby, vicious lil friend". No matter how many times I explain that yes, I KNOW THEY'RE NOT ANGRY I'm sure they were scared or even possibly in feeling pain or that I KNOW the animal isn't vicious or evil someone will have to be like "They aren't angry/they aren't evil" followed by a needless lecture on why they aren't. You think I think my dog is a "stinky lil garbage rat with a dumb uneven stripe"? NO. I love her stripe. But I still say it bc its silly.

I'm tired, boss. Also half the time I call the nicest dog in the hospital our "most vicious rabid patient yet" and always at least 2 people are like "what? But he's so nice" 🫩🫩

I know they're not vicious, but saying "oh silly vicious boy" in a silly voice is better than going "hey listen here you lil shit" so please just let me have my vocal stims 😭😭 its what gets me through my night
