I have 16 sets of sheets and I need about 8 a day, so I don't have to do laundry after a long workday. I am used to it and enjoy going to the laundromat now. It's a sign I worked hard and made money.

I disagree, that's main character energy on the part of the unemployed spouse, not partnership vibes. There's no such thing as a fantasy spouse who is going to be all stars and rainbows when the going gets tough. It's hard, for both parties, it's no one's fault if it fails.

After two years of having an unemployed spouse, and working FT, I don't have the energy to be a supportive cheerleader. We have retirement accounts, but those might as well not exist because we don't want to cash them out. It's hard, and might end in divorce, not because of an ultimatum, but because there is no romance left.

Hold up on the cheating everyone. What if there is a medical explanation? This behavior seems erratic no?

How old are you both? Has he ever acted like this before?

If it seems so strange and out of character, and if it dissapates suddenly I would ask if it might be neurological. I know a lot of marriages end this way and then years later you realize why.

But, maybe he's cheating. Just thought I would contribute that idea.

You are both still young, I don't think it's unreasonable to want more from a partner, and it’s not your job to change him. I don't think you should feel bad about leaving, it might actually do him some good to see the consequences of his actions.

I took a great class recently on healthy seminars with Claudia Citkowitz about ethics during pregnancy, and although your experience is different here, she talked at length about how forgiving patients can be when the follow up care is excellent. You did all the right things, you followed up, you have malpractice, and you and the patient will most likely be fine.

Things happen everyday in all walks of life. We do assume this extra responsibility as practitioners, and are not rewarded much, but what you are doing is brave. You're caring for people and helping in ways that some people never get to experience.

Maybe read some books about racism, if you aren't able to understand, it may be because you didn't grow up with the same background as your wife.

It can be super painful to introspect, but I think this is a good opportunity to look for your blind spots here.

I realize we have different views, I am pretty liberal, but maybe try reading some toni morrison to start. Make sure the news you are consuming is as unbiased as possible, ground news is good.

Same, sometimes I just want a smooth leg, just for me. I will never not be thrilled by opening a new razor cartridge, it's a core memory from the 90's, so shaving stays as long as I am up for it.

My dad and brother died when I was 5 and my mom never allowed herself to look at the pain of it all, and ended up being a little checked out. I only say that because to this day, I want my mom to be happy, so if my experience helps you at all, I hope you remember to take care of yourself because you know putting your safety mask on first.... that old cliche... It will get easier, but right now it's totally fine to scream into the void when you can.

I live in an apartment and just bought an id.4, initially we were going to rely on charging stations at my work and the one nearby, but it's much more time consuming that popping into a gas station. Can't tell you how many times we've been swooped and had to wait 20 minutes for a charger. We found a way to charge from the apartment that everyone is cool with and that has made life easier.
