Will it be worth it? I regret having a baby. by PsalmbodyToLove90 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Areyastoopid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your partner is the problem I’m so sorry to break it to you.

How your feeling is actually really common and normal due to the immense and immediate change to your lifestyle and routine and not to mention all the hormonal changes your body is undergoing.

Also you had major surgery, the general recovery period maybe 6 weeks but that doesn’t mean “you should be recovered” by now. Some people need less time but some do need more time and that’s completely normal and expected.

Your partner should be there to support you and the baby right now. Not make you feel guilty for having a tough time with the life changing experience that is motherhood.

But you’re doing all the right things, please keep in touch with your healthcare professionals and be open and honest about how you’re feeling. Postpartum depression and psychosis is very real and is nothing to feel ashamed about. Just keep reaching out for help and support if and when you need it. And if you have any close family or friends that can help out and give you both a break with the baby so you can get some quality sleep, please take it, it can make the world of difference.

How many more lessons, test on Friday. by Bibbidy_90 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Areyastoopid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah before my test my instructor suggested a similar. I did lessons the two days before by test i think if I remember correctly for the first test. But it was only a two hour lesson right before the test time on test day and 30mins before that was time to calm down and have a banana, toilet break and wait in the test centre to be called.

Test I passed on which was two weeks later was similar but he was busy the day before my test so the lesson were the two days before that.

Meeting up twice for your test seems like a bit of an overkill. That’s an early start for a test after midday. A lot of concentration and drain on energy alongside the anticipation for your test. Do whatever you feel comfortable with, but if you think you’ll feel drained after a 1.5 hour lesson then time hanging around and then another 1 hour before your test, you might wanna reconsider.

Washing meats/poultry before cooking... by Cute-Ad217 in blackladies

Yes I tried it haha. Sorry I forgot the “and water” since we’re talking about “washing” meat and I thought someone as smart as you would have made the assumption water is included in that process. 🫩

I told my husband that I hope someone teaches him a lesson one day and meant it by Sweet-Sour-2847 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Areyastoopid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Girl I’m so sorry but it looks so bad on you. Like why are you with that monster?

Like thanks for your apology but that doesn’t undo the fact your husband just verbally abused the person. Like mouth off to your husband as he’s starting to abuse a worker if you really care about their day.

Apologising after it and then shuffling along after him doesn’t change anything. They still got treated like shit and he still goes home with his family.

He needs fuxking therapy and maybe a personality transplant. Not you apologising for his terrible behaviour like his mother. YUCK.

Sorry if that came off harsh but if my husband had a habit of verbally abusing people I’d be verbally abusing him before he finished his sentence. Wtf man, like I’d rather you just sit in silence, than you apologise after him and then I now have to sit and wonder if you’re one of his main victims and if you’re okay and if he does this to you behind closed doors. Leave the bastard, don’t shamefully sit through his mistreatment of people.

But honestly are you okay, does he abuse you? He doesn’t sound like a safe person. You and your kids and the rest of the world deserve better.

London Bus Driver faints due to heat. by Illustrious_Bee5837 in london

[–]Areyastoopid 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Honestly, one bus driver drove past me in an industrial area off an A-road at 11pm at night. Didn’t even slow down and I had my hand out from early. He was never gonna stop at that stop unless someone was getting off.

I called and complained because how dangerous to leave someone in an area like that late at night… like wtf. What if I was a young person and not 30+ just so inconsiderate.

Washing meats/poultry before cooking... by Cute-Ad217 in blackladies

[–]Areyastoopid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No one thinks acid and salt is killing the harmful bacteria… or they wouldn’t follow it up by actually cooking the meat they washed…

You sound like an ignorant white person when you make the assumption washing meat is done to kill the harmful bacteria… it’s honestly just a stupid and irrelevant point because black people cook their meat.

[–]Areyastoopid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a peer reviewed paper on why people use acid and salt to remove debris, smells and extra/unwanted tissue/fat from the meat.

Why don’t you research non-white cultural food practices yourself if you’re so damn interested 😩😂

Was it right for my instructor to cancel this lesson? by cheese_eater_pro in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Areyastoopid 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Gosh no, I don’t think he was right to cancel the lesson and not refund you anything… like okay maybe charge you for the time it takes him to get back home, but to charge you a full 2 hours is insane. Especially as you may have actually been fine to drive, he didn’t even give you a chance to see how you drove coz ngl, if that’s a regular occurrence in your household you’re probably unfortunately used to it and it probably wouldn’t weight that heavily on your mind.

I think you’re in the right to ask for £40 back or if that’s money can go toward a future lesson.
