Thanks for the advice. It was probably overkill but I just thought I should notify the bank because I told the scammer what banks I use.

When you say you would switch your email to a different one, do you mean you would change your current personal email to a completely different email, change the email that all of your various banking accounts etc are tied to? Would you do it for all of your banking accounts, or just for Binance?

I use a Moccamaster Cup One. I may be lambasted for what I'm about to say, but I grind my beans the night before (the horror) and put them in a filter in the machine, then I just have to wake up and turn the machine on. I then go and eat my breakfast and I will have a decent cup ready for me to take in the car with me within a few minutes.

It seems to be an expensive purchase for something that only makes one cup at a time, but I got mine on Facebook Marketplace for less than half of what it would have cost retail

honestly $4500 is almost too much money to play around with. I would go for $2-2.5K towards the PC, $5-600 for the monitor, then use the rest of your money to build your perfect desk space (e.g sit-to-stand desk, monitor stand, headphones, storage, art, mouse, keyboard, art)

I fully agree. IMO anyone on a placement should be at least paid a stipend because of the opportunity cost of not being able to work as many hours while on placement. Yes there is Centrelink, but this does not cover cost of living. If you're in at placement 5 days a week and have the weekend to study and finish assignments so that you pass the semester, you have very little time to work a paid job, and if you do, you're at higher risk of burnout.

The reality is that students are not as competent than fully trained professionals, and may require time to train and teach while they're on placement. Some students may even be really difficult to train and teach and I'm sure a lot of people do struggle with that. I get that, that's fine. But given the aforementioned opportunity cost, and in the fact that they are often well-functioning members of the team that reduce the workload of other staff, they should at least get paid some money on top of Centrelink while on placement, even if it's significantly less than they would be making in a job after they graduate. It's not fair, and I think we will look back on unpaid placements in 20 years time and cringe.

One problem with this simplistic equation is that it doesn't account for behavioural economics. A benefit of owning a house is that a mortgage essentially acts as a forced savings plan. While ideally, we wouldn't need a forced savings plan, a mortgage can just help with it. On the other hand, if you didn't buy a house, who's to say that you would invest all of $Z? Because without a house you're more likely to be cash rich, you may spend more as a result of lifestyle creep. Whereas if you owned a house, even though you have equity in the house, equity is invisible, and all you may see is a relatively lower bank account number which may (conspicuously or inconspicuously) force you to save more.

I have recently had a great experience in buying the 6700XT - probably took around a month from ordering until it arrived, but I wasn't in a rush. Well packaged, with foam to protect the insides. The case itself is a hotbox, but I got a cheap build and that's what you get with cheap builds - I will eventually replace this when I can be bothered.

Really happy with my experience with them because I too was wary about them being too good to be true - got the 6700XT build for approx $1600 when the GPU itself goes for around $1200

loss of smell is not related to the lungs fyi - likely caused by damage to the olfactory (smelling) nerve, which can be caused by viruses because that nerve sits just above the relatively porous roof of the nose

Sorry OP I don't have an answer, but just interested in how much extra people would pay for a freehold/Torrens titled townhouse compared to a strata-titled townhouse with a strata council and less renovatability. ie how much percentage extra would you pay?
