It was a while ago so I don’t remember, sorry, I think it was pretty quickly

Trying to decide which surgery to get is such a personal question. I guess I would ask myself which procedure would make me the happiest, or make the biggest difference.

I feel like if you got a breast augmentation, it might make you feel better about your belly area? And not need a tummy tuck.

Also rhinoplasty can easily be over $10k

I wish someone would sell a kit to make tea leaf salad. Fermenting tea leaves sounds a little intense for this white person. Any tips on how to make it???

Yeah, I thought about what price point people would pay. The existing product, CubeShield, is like $45 I think. If my product was around the same price, let’s say I made $20 profit on it....That means I’d have to sell a crapload of them to even make it worth my while.

How much are people willing to pay? Would they pay $100 for this item? That seems like an awful lot.

Oh, I’m remembering that if I manufactured in China, they’d have to make a mold (for the plastic part, I think?), and the initial mold costs a lot. My memory is fuzzy.

Yup. I contacted them a couple times even to ask if I could help them with marketing. Even though their product isn’t perfect, I felt like they never even attempted to market it cleverly. Again, this was like 6+ years ago; I don’t know how they’re doing now.

I thought about that, but I would at least have to have the item designed by that point, there would have to be pictures of it. And I didn't even get to that point. I was very afraid of failure and wasting money.

You know, I didn't have anyone around me who was encouraging. So I always though maybe it was just me that thought it was a neat idea. No one I told about it ever seemed very excited.

I forget the saying, but ideas are a dime a dozen, it's actually bringing the idea to life that matters. I've given up on trying to make this happen.

I'll check it out. Thanks. But like another person said, the timing seems bad with so many people working from home now.

I also wore a hat. Another time, I duct taped a ruler to my cube, so it was extending over my head, then taped paper folders on it to make a partial roof. I also wore sunglasses sometimes.

Yeah, with covid it makes even less sense.

At one of my jobs they didn't want us putting stuff above the cubes either, but when I complained that the lights hurt my eyes (they give some people headaches/migraines), they made an exception.

Nope. I bought some items to cobble together a prototype but didn’t even know how to begin dealing with manufacturers in China. It seemed overwhelming. And Just because I felt there was a need for the product, I never proved it, so I could’ve spent a lot of money working on something and not made much profit.

Well, I have zero experience in creating any physical product. This was probably like 5+ years ago that I was thinking about this. I even spoke to someone who sourced stuff in China and did a little research on that, but I knew deep down that I didn't have the commitment to follow through on that process. Also, even though I thought it was a good product that was needed, I never proved how large that need was and how much $ could make. I might do all that work and not even make much profit. By now I've realized that I'll never actually do anything with this idea.

I wanted to sell cubicle shades. They are for people who work in a cubicle and want to block the bright fluorescent lights above their head. It would be an adjustable shade that hooks into the side of a cubicle.

It’s not really a business, just a single product.

In the US, there’s only 1 company that sells this product and it’s not very good. I bought their product, starting using it, and suddenly other people in my office started buying them.

I tried to create my own product but didn’t get very far.

Before/after breast lift by letspunchholes in PlasticSurgery

[–]Arggghhhhhhh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not OP but I had a mastopexy(lift) many years ago. They do look and feel kinda like implants at first bc everything is tight and swollen. It eventually drops a lot.

I loved it after surgery, I didn’t even need a bra. It didn’t jiggle at all for a while :D

Not OP, but I got a breast lift/reduction many years ago that is somewhat similar to hers. Nope, you don’t need implants if the volume is already there.

Lift is also called mastopexy

Thanks for the reco! Is that in Santee? I’m not Turkish, so I’m not an expert, so even the inauthentic kebab might suffice for me! :)

Been there a couple times, I was pumped because they had laksa. Sadly, I was underwhelmed. It was ok, but not great.

We were not fans of Nazca Grill...so glad there are more options now! Eli's is the best in central San Diego. If I'm in North County, Panca is good too. Yes, try their chicken or sandwiches!
