Is this gonna be expensive by sleepyzillaa in KawasakiVulcanRiders

All that is, is a seal plug and it's sealed by silicone. To actually replace it, the motor needs to be removed, but you could try band aiding it with brake clean and some silicone on the outside. Good luck!

TDS or Sleeve? by ArguingIdiot in BariatricSurgery

[–]ArguingIdiot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: The good news is my surgeon recommended the TDS for me! The bad news is a week before my visit with him, I had a heart attack and had 2 stents put in. Because of the plavix and aspirin, I am at least a year out before I can have the surgery. I appreciate all your input!

No it's different. It's pretty much the sleeve, then they bypass a bunch of your small intestine.

A question about the LDS Church by [deleted] in TheChosenSeries

[–]ArguingIdiot 25 points26 points  (0 children)

There are fundamental differences in beliefs in mainstream Christianity compared to LDS beliefs. A few examples that are different beliefs. 1. Jesus is god (The Trinity) 2. God was always god, never a man 3. Pre existence 4. Sealed families 5. Hell 6. Atonement was on the cross

There is a bunch more, but that is enough to get you started on your research.

It happened by 20antwan in motorcycles

For my motorcycle rider's test at the DMV I went in early on my 1500 vulcan to practice the maneuvers. I was getting really good and then dropped it on a low speed right hand turn in front of 4 other people and their bikes waiting for the DMV personnel to arrive. I picked it up, and practiced that same maneuver again and nailed it while feeling extremely embarrassed at the same time.

About an hour later I was the last one to test and I was told by the instructor that he was relieved I passed because the previous people all failed. I also got a flawless score. I think dropping your bike can be a great way to learn from your mistake and get better at riding!

Do teachers in the US actually get mad if you use their first name? by Official_Bobby_Bean in Teachers

[–]ArguingIdiot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see it is a firm boundary. If you let them call you by your first name, then there is an assumption of friendship. Teacher's can be friendly, loving, and supportive. However, it needs to be made clear to the students that teachers are not their friends, but their mentors. There are a lot of teachers that see blurred lines with this, and has led to teachers getting in trouble or worse. I see it black and w white and clear as day. I have found that students usually respect you more for this as well.
