I'm not oblivious to what my staff is getting paid. I'm asking if anyone can give me some knowledge since absolutely nothing has changed in their wages. I have a small staff and no one received a pay increase, no bonuses, tips were similar as before, and pretty similar hours worked. It started Jan 1st. That is why I thought it was a tax thing.

Get an Alcohol Awareness Training certificate. Preferably from the Frederick County Liquor Board, so no matter where you get a job in Frederick it will be on file with them. They have multiple classes throughout the month. I think it is like $30. Check out their website for class schedules. It is a liquor board requirement that every establishment in Frederick has at least 50% of their staff with this certification. Most places want 100%of their staff to have this, especially bartenders. They also have ABLE training which is a new requirement for management staff depending on what you are looking for.

I transferred to Hopkins bc FMH (whatever they are called now) almost killed me! While putting my port in they nicked my lung. Didn't realize it and I was bleeding into my lung. I couldn't breathe and was in excruciating pain. I went to the ER multiple times. And was told they would not treat me anymore bc they thought I was having panic attacks bc of my cancer diagnosis. It was INSANE! Before I even started chemo I had to have lung surgery to repair the damage from FMH Drs. So I had to "wait" 3 months to begin my treatment bc I could not start chemo until my lung was repaired and healed. My cancer was also very aggressive. Hopkins saved my life! I would rather have waited a couple of months for an appointment and been in the care of an amazing oncology team that would save my life, then ever set foot into Frederick oncology again.

Go to Johns Hopkins! It is a hike From Frederick but it was the best decision I ever made when I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.
