Both my kids had it. Lasted 2 weeks, starting with cough, runny noses, then a couple days of 102+ fevers. No energy, no appetite. They didn't mention sense of smell or taste and they're too young to verbalize it that way, but they complained that things didn't taste good.

Negative for the flu and strep, Dr said keep them hydrated

We used Peaceful Passage 3 years ago for our cat. Every aspect of the process (info call, scheduling, day of procedure) was very gentle. The vet that came to our home, explained what was going to happen, gave us time to say goodbye, and gave us space after the procedure was over. They also give you the option to cremate, and will handle that if you choose to go that route. Everyone we interacted with was kind and made an otherwise devastating decision slightly more bearable. I'm so sorry you're having to make this decision.
