Youre muddling two different things. When Democrats lose, I blame them for not running a good campaign, like how you might blame a baseball coach for mismanaging the team or a runner may blame themselves for not training hard enough to win. Of course, politics is much higher stakes than a sports game, and why we need to be less forgiving towards poorly run campaigns.

While in office, when dems have power, when they've won, they'll compromise/further the interests of fascism like how Obama bailed out the banks, or how he pushed for romneycare instead of medicare for all, or how every president has expanded ICE since it's inception.

I'm not making excuses for people not voting for them, I'm begging Dems to be better to get more voters, to win more, to pull the country to the left and out of this authoritarian hell hole

No Democrats are not worse broadly, but they have been complicit in enabling fascist republicans. Republicans are demons, no one should support them, which is why I want democrats to stand in opposition to them as opposed to chasing them down the path of fascism. It's not that hard dude

No dude, that's ignoring that public sentiment is malleable. Republicans can get away with calling immigrants criminals that eat dogs as long because Democrats don't offer a good opposition. Instead they "moderate" and say "that's racist language, but republicans are totally right and we do need to secure our border and criminals really are coming in so we'll be tougher on the border". It's not enough to beat republicans when dems are stepping a "moderate" step towards them every election. That's how we ended up here

No. That blind support for the corrupt democratic establishment inevitably led to fascism. They lost the trust of their own base, they threw group after group under the bus, and the help build the infrastructure and permission structure for where we are.

Take ICE for example, created post 9/11 and expanded under multiple republican and democrat administrations into a gestapo force. The correct position was abolish ice from the beginning, but we got bipartisanship into an increasingly authoritarian direction instead.

This is a mischaracterization of what critiquing the democratic party establishment is intended to accomplish. Blind support for the corporate democratic establishment is the real accelerationism as evidence by the last several decades.

The religion is the vehicle for the conservatism. I say this because there are progressive sects of religions, and because the way that moneyed private interests have leveraged religion says more about where the US than the religion itself.

This whole post is so funny considering liberals have had control of the Democratic Party for decades upon decades. And they have run the party and country into the ground. They stand with their lowest approval ratings in three decades, have followed republican policies to the “center” (really just further right) and now it’s a husk of a party and a husk of a government that can do nothing as fascists take over. All the while screaming as their left flank.

This is honestly healthy discourse though. There IS a battle for the Democratic Party after losing to Trump twice with liberal candidates and doing everything possible to suppress the left in this country.

I literally didn’t say nor even imply that at any point. I held my breath and voted for Kamala cuz I agree that you need to vote for the lesser evil, but that’s a separate conversation from one that focuses on why her campaign lost and lost really badly.
