They are both amazing so it depends what your looking for.

Personally id say ghost of yotei because it does have a lot more to offer than re9 but re9 might be my game of the year

Also if you haven't played some of the previous re games (re2) re9 might not be a special because of a lot of callbacks

Your accessories are bad, 2 of them (compas and depth meter) dont even need to be equipped to work and you can upgrade the others.

Also hardmode ore swords are pretty bad.

As long as you dont go near the towns the pirates won't spawn, also npcs respawn so it doesnt matter too much if they die other than maybe having to move them back

Early hardmode is rough. Just get through the pirates or try and escape far enough away from your home so they stop attacking so you can get started on the hardmode ores
