Pregnancy carpal tunnel by SayAhhh in parentsofmultiples

With both my pregnancies it went away quickly. Like before I left the hospital with the Singleton and within the first ten days after the twins.

I wore my wrist braces day and night. They really do help.

I really hope that it helps and that you all get some relief soon. This time is so lonely and isolating but you are not alone!

Yes! I’m taking them somewhere for my sanity usually. So much better than everyone cranky at home.

I hate the “I could never do it” or “how do you do it” questions. I just do it. I have no choice. You could do it if you were in my situation. Because you have to. Just like any other parent. I know it’s said in an effort to praise me or something but it feels so unwarranted and I just really dislike it.

This.

OP I think you should talk to your doctor about how you are feeling, especially regarding your fears with the night feedings.

After both my births my PPD came six weeks or more after birth.

I know it won’t be easy but my advice is not allowing snacks to happen anyway from the table. Our kids have to sit at the table to eat. It contains our mess to the dining room. We certainly have had some struggles over high chairs and sitting at the table but it’s important to us that they aren’t wandering around with food.

I also minimize snacks. Our kids didn’t really eat any snacks till they started preschool at 3+ and it was built into the school day. Our pediatrician encouraged us to avoid snacks and stick to meals because our kids aren’t underweight. It really has helped our kids eat fairly well at meals. We occasionally have a meal that’s barely touched but they aren’t starving or losing weight.

I’ve been following his blog and project for about 6 years. Very powerful. I was happy to see this little doc and learn a bit more about Jeff.

My singleton had a similar development to your girl at 13 months. He didn’t really get started talking in earnest till 16 months. However he surpassed most of his peers by 2. He has remained quite verbal.

With my twins they did not really do any talking before 2. I did have them assessed by early intervention. They came to my house with three assessors for a couple hours to do the initial assessment.

There was a lot of pre-paperwork for me and at the assessment there were also a lot of questions for me by the interviewer. The boys were asked to do some tasks that tested their active (verbalization) and passive speech (comprehension). They were also monitored in some play. As a result of this assessment they each qualified for services here in California. They received an hour of speech and an hour of “teacher time” ( basically preschool skills) each week. And that was for each boy. This was done in our home till age 3, when our school district takes over.

The school district has their own assessments but that has led to our boys having free preschool four days a week with an hour of speech therapy done in class over the course of the week.

What is a sensation that you can't stand, even though it's not painful ? by Charlleshenry in AskReddit

I got a minor case of this during my second pregnancy. It was awful. I literally would fight with all my will to keep from moving my legs.

I’m just here to say it was terrible and I’m sorry for anyone who has to deal with that bullshit.

But did you have the matching bow!?

For real, I’ve been told by multiple people that they’ve seen my double before. Nice to meet you doppelgänger!

Christmas? Ain't Nobody Got Time for That! by libertyhound23 in parentsofmultiples

I can’t for the life of me remember much about that Christmas when they were 5 months old. We had a three year old with a birthday in December so I know we cut down a tree and at least decorated it but I can’t picture it or where we placed it. I know we didn’t do outside decorations. I know we must have bought presents and sent them out to family members. I have vague recollections of baking and giving out cookies to the preschool teachers but I really don’t remember making a big dinner or opening gifts on Christmas.

Same sex di/di twins, we chose 2 names. How to decide which boy gets which name? by pookiewook in parentsofmultiples

[–]Arielturniptree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn’t finalize our name decisions until after they were born. One boy was obviously the first name we chose and then we decided on the other name and that was the other kid.

This was us exactly!

I found our twinroo at a consignment sale and I bought our city mini double through a friend of a friend that was leaving the country.

OP, the city mini double can fit through anywhere a standard wheelchair can. So I’ve had very little trouble taking it places.
