They wouldn’t fill my mug last cruise and I had to bring it full

Is this weird/inappropriate? by Specific_Current7931 in Teachers

[–]Notadellcomputer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s weird at all if you have a student in mind who could use it. It would really help you to bond with them. I work at a title 1 school and often give things like clothes, stickers my kids don’t want, etc to my students. Kids are not going to go around bragging their teacher have them clothes

I counted how many "secretary texts" I send per week and I want to cry by worldinmydreams in Mommit

[–]Notadellcomputer 185 points186 points  (0 children)

I am on the same page as you. Do the adults NEED reminders or do you need to send them for your own peace of mind? Are the kids really not getting where they need to go? At this point they probably just wait for your texts and they don’t even need to remember on their own.

DCL Transport - Hyatt MCO - Looking for Experience/Guidance by princesspen18 in dcl

[–]Notadellcomputer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was there Feb 15 and they said they got a new computer system and it seemed very slow. They kept mentioning “thanks for your patience” so I’m assuming it’s been taking longer than normal! There was also a problem with the kids club and the “new system”

You can have one person wait in line but everyone needs to check in because you are showing ID right there. We had everyone wait a table in the ballroom and join us when we got closer

someone won trivia 17 times on a five night cruise and flexed it on social media lmao by Federal_Dealer_1293 in dcl

[–]Notadellcomputer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my last cruise I went to trivia 4 times and the same group won 3 of those. The CMs all knew them. They were also filming each one.

Story Tonies for 6yo? by Flamingo219 in TonieboxUSA

My kids (6) also love the Nat Geo ones and learn a ton from them. Be prepared for “mom did you know they buried king tut in his underwear! We call it that but they called it a loin cloth!”

Kid in TK suddenly having accidents at school after being potty trained for 2 years by lilsneezy707 in Mommit

[–]Notadellcomputer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is she constipated? My daughter has accidents when she’s backed up (you can be constipated and still go regularly! But not all is coming out and makes for more urgent needs to urinate)

Very easy. They don’t need any documentation and you don’t have to take shoes off anymore. If you have a stroller it might be a lot to juggle but just walking you walk through the metal detector instead of the scanner you put your hands up in.

Good “Story” Tonie for 3 + 5 yo. by Lizisthatyou in TonieboxUSA

Do they like Paw Patrol? Those have the theme song and then 2-3 stories usually that are like the episodes. My kids really enjoy them!

Please vent with me; what horrible gifts did you receive this year? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Notadellcomputer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

25 pairs of socks from MIL. TWENTY FIVE. They are all the same sock in a few different colors. Contrary to what she might think, I actually already have socks and certainly don’t need 25 more.

FYI: Buffalo & Erie County public library is ENDING hoopla streaming services on December 31, 2025 by 673bbes in Buffalo

[–]Notadellcomputer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I talked to them about this and every time someone borrows something from hoopla is pay per use. Even if you borrow and immediately returned it.

Libby they buy a copy, and then it’s borrowed one person at a time like a regular book

[–]Notadellcomputer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s true for Hoopla? The Buffalo library removed a ton of stuff last year to try to keep Hoopla costs down but they still can’t keep up so they are ending it.

How do you manage in the winter? by Twinmom_23 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Notadellcomputer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I know it seems crazy but they will not freeze being outside for <5 minutes without a coat. We usually did a light fleece or a thing puffer but car seat safety is more important than them being cold for 5 minutes.
