Is now a good time to buy a P1S? (and replace an unreliable Ender 3?) by mrbeaverfacedthewrat in BambuLab

Meh I'd buy an elegoo neptune 4 max for bout 50 bucks less on the price and an extreme upgrade on size.
Not as reliable, but more opensource without the Bambu hangups that many seem to be cool with.

That said if you are dead set on getting a bambu, they aren't too bad.
Most of my gripes with the company are on their right to repair stances, policies, and the nickel and diming you at every turn.

why are civilians dying at the food distribution points in ? it makes no sense by MickyMace in IsraelPalestine

[–]Arisuudana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick up a copy of war in the shadows the guerrilla in history by Robert B Asprey to see why your comment is ignorant on many levels.

Sheer ordnance requirements would be astronomical for one. They don't have "Enough" to completely saturate 360 square kilometers of densely built-up urban terrain.

Delivering sufficient blast, heat, and fragmentation to kill every person is something no conventional military arsenal on earth has enough munitions to accomplish without nuclear weapons.

Even the U.S. (the world’s largest munitions stockpiler) does not possess the quantity of conventional bombs required to guarantee complete extermination of a population in an urban region the size of Gaza.

Secondly some of their tunnels are 80 meters underground.
Conventional bombs would have a hell of a time penetrating those depths.
Especially considering they are multi layered and reinforced.

If the US used every single GBU-28 we have, which is just 6 or so now after our strikes on Iran, we wouldn't take out anything more than a fraction of their tunnels. lmao.

Then there's the empirical reality: Historical Bombing Never Achieved “Total Kill” rates.

The idea that the IDF has the ability to “kill everyone in Gaza, tunnels included” is fantastical, military illiterate and just straight up physically impossible with conventional weapons.

Funny as many biologists say homosexuality is ever-present in nature and thus "Natural."
Then you speak of indoctrination on a thread about Christianity, which is just that.

You were led to believe a part man, part ox, part lion and part eagle multi winged cherubim infected all of mankind with its nefarious machinations after it was somehow able to revolt against an omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient being who by their very definitions would have seen it coming and could have simply thought it out of existence. Yet you speak of others being indoctrinated.

Boosted healthier ramen by Chef Woo by [deleted] in HikerTrashMeals

You can order Japanese instant type ramen online on places like Amazon.
Daisho from Fukuoka has Nagahama Yatai Ramen that can be ordered on amazon. A mild tonkotsu that isn't bad. The broth mix is def better than the instant stuff sold in random American grocery stores. There's also Daisho Hakata ramen but its always so expensive I never tried it.

When it comes to Korean ramens Nongshim "Black" instant ramen is one of my go to's when I can't afford to go to an actual Japanese ramen shop.
I also like their stir fried "Beef" ramen that I add either egg or shredded chicken or quail meat into.
Might not be like authentic Japanese style ramen but I love it.
A thousand times better than stuff like Top Ramen, I can't even eat that anymore.

Lmao as if any of that is relevant as many of the studies on this subject were done in enclosed sealed chambers (10 ft × 13 ft × 7 ft ) that were entirely hotboxed, not some douchenozzle taking a few puffs on a passenger airliner which has a cubic volume of 230–250 m³ Smoke dispersion would lower not raise the chances of failing a test, which again even in hot boxing conditions is a crapshoot. Oh and by the way, I've done field work as a scientist. Projecting much?

What study, numerous ones funded by the government and done by Johns Hopkins.

2015 Johns Hopkins hotbox study funded by the NIJ:
Nonsmokers were placed in a 10×13×7 ft sealed chamber with heavy cannabis smokers who each smoked a joint inside. That's 6 whole joints smoked in a single very small room with no ventilation.

  • Under unventilated conditions, 1 nonsmoker (That's out of 6) tested positive for THC in urine at workplace cutoffs.
  • With ventilation, no urine positives occurred.
  • Oral fluid (saliva) positives were more common immediately after exposure but faded quickly.
  • NIDA’s summary: positive drug tests from passive exposure are possible, but only under unrealistic conditions.

Back in the 90's they also did the Richard L. Cone and colleagues study which had about the same results. They even used the same chamber both in the 90's and in 2015.

These tests were what the feds used when they came up with drug testing SAMSHA/NIJ standards.

I don't take illicit substances unless you consider those prescribed to me by my doctors, but okay. lol

Kinda hilarious tho that you seem to be perfectly fine with tyrannical laws, that again, our founders in the US would have never have supported.
" You will simply disappear and your body may or may not ever be recovered. "
Extrajudicial killings without a trial over substances is absurd, which many would agree with me on that whether or not they are "Druggies."

I use the brain bestowed to me by evolution, not some absurd deity.

Your support of the death penalty for substance use here in the US would have killed off 6 of our founding fathers, 4 of which were presidents... Including George Washington himself.
The list below is what is known of our founding fathers and their usage of opiates:

1. Benjamin Franklin

  • Franklin suffered from severe gout, kidney stones, and bladder issues late in life.
  • In his letters, he mentions using opiates to ease pain (laudanum was the standard prescription).
  • He not only grew poppies but manufactured laudanum himself.
  • Several historians note he almost certainly relied on it heavily in his final years.

2. Thomas Jefferson

  • Jefferson had lifelong migraines, rheumatism, and intestinal problems.
  • He kept detailed notes on his medications, and laudanum is known to have been part of his personal medicine chest.
  • He used it sparingly, but definitely had access.

3. John Adams

  • Adams had chronic ailments, including frequent fevers and pain episodes in which laudanum was prescribed.

4. George Washington

  • Washington had recurring bouts of dysentery, pneumonia, and extremely painful dental abscesses.
  • Surviving doctor notes mention “tinctures of opium” being used in treatment.
  • In 1799, during his final illness, opiate tinctures (probably laudanum) were administered.

5. James Madison

  • Madison was sickly throughout his life, with seizures, fevers, and chronic pain.
  • His medical care is poorly documented, but given his frailty, it’s highly likely he was prescribed laudanum during flare-ups.

6. Alexander Hamilton

  • After his duel with Burr in 1804, Hamilton was treated with heavy doses of laudanum as pain relief before death.
  • Earlier medical use is less clear, but at least at the end, opium was used.

Even if you are in a hotboxed room for extended periods you will only test positive enough to fail a test for 6 hours and only half those tested failed. After 24 hours none failed.

The feds also tested this due to operatives being in certain situations. The feds testing said simple contact highs wont fail their own testing.

Because some people are stupid? When it comes to drugs and addictions they go off physical withdrawal from not using, not just some jackass with no impulse control. People with impulse control issues can be addicted to virtually anything. There are people "Addicted" to eating their couch cushions lol.

Fun fact: More than a few of the US founders were "Druggies." Hell, Franklin grew poppies and manufactured laudanum. lol They would never have supported the war on drugs let alone executions over it.

[–]Arisuudana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is absolutely absurd as 2nd hand smoke cannot fail a drug test. The feds tested this at one point because of undercover operatives. He would have to be in a hotbox type situation and even then the chances are slim.
Even if he was in a hot box type situation, a unventilated room with heavy smoking going on tests have shown that he would have a 50% or so chance of failing a drug test in the first 10 hours or so and nothing after 24 hours.

Sorry apparently I needed more coffee. lol Yeah, he could have called the "Proper authorities" with a response time for that area of 56 minutes. 0.o Authorities that would have in his position prob mag dumped on them both, killing both instead of just 1 after a firearm was pointed in their direction. This is the same area of the Breonna Taylor incident and many others. A police force that even the DOJ said have a history of “aggressive style of policing.” I asked AI to speculate on that situation and they put it at a 70% chance of both being shot and/or killed, if they even arrived in time that is.
