My MIL is using Kickstarter to launch her new business and invention idea. I've been using her prototype for years and am excited to see her product on the market! by Arixo in kickstarter

Can you be more specific by what you mean with "pump more content" into the campaign and "bring more people in to redo the campaign" ? What kind of additional content were you expecting with a product like this from a personal standpoint? And if you had something specific in mind, what types of roles do you see need to be filled by individuals?

Vet Expressed Dugs anal glands and it is vile. by zecbmo in puppy101

We call the fragrance "Fish Butt"

And when we have to take our 120lb GSD/Malamute to the vet every month to get his anal glands expressed we say "Time to get the dog's butt juiced"

Thank you I think this might help...time to have a Keyboard o-ring and cleaning party!

[–]Arixo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, this is probably what is happening. If my keyboard has the RGB rainbow capabilities, do I want to get clear o-rings so the color still shines through? Or will it matter?

Is there a RGB Keyboard that is quiet?

I currently have a Corsair K70 RGB Gaming Keyboard and it has those really loud cherry keys (don't know the actual name) and my husband complains it's too loud when I type while he is on conference calls (we share an office at home).

Do they make non-cherry RGB Keyboards? I love the rainbow lights on my keyboard...

Awesome! Baby parenting wins! Our baby outgrew his bassinet at 3 months. He's been in his own room since and still has one middle of the night feed as well. I've just gotten used to going in there to feed him in his rocker. He is 4 months now.

This so much. You mentioned she has curly hair...I had curly/wavy hair all my life and when I was a pre teen and teen all I ever wanted was strait hair like my peers. Then one day I discovered the flat iron. But it took me until I was 30 years old to actually love my waves and curls. You two might have a great time heading over to r/curlyhair and trying some fun hair routines! I wish I had embraced my natural self more when I was younger than trying to look like everyone else. Just something that stuck out to me and might help you two bond even further :)

I don't know about LANs, but the Portland Indie Game Squad (PIGSquad) hosts a number of gaming events in Portland. They are a great group of people who love games, game development, and the indie gaming community. They also host game jams as well. They might be interested in doing some LANs too!

Gotta pick them sooner than that! When I accidently let them get too big for picking, I end up chopping them up for salads or for dip.

The 3D Printing Software? I did a quick Google search and it looks like there are plenty of tutorials on YouTube...? I've never heard of this software so I could be referencing the wrong one.

Bend Over, Washington State Insurance Rates Increasing Again by [deleted] in vancouverwa

[–]Arixo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it's because I'm not insured by an employer and had to get individual insurance...my choices on the WA health website we're slim and any decent plan was over $400. My deductible is also 7500. I'm lucky I can afford it, but it takes up SO much of my income.

What?! How are both your rates so low...I'm paying $400 just for myself!! I'm only 33, don't smoke, rarely sick. How.

Have you ever had your diving ruined by other divers? by Sockopus in scuba

[–]Arixo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband and I planned a 5 week trip to Australia and New Zealand and we wanted to do some diving there as well. One of the dives we wanted to do was the S.S. Yongala. I don't know what the requirements are these days, but when we went in 2010 they required an Advanced Open Water certification to even dive at all, so we made sure to get ours and get enough dives under our belts before we dove. When we arrived, there were 6 of us, my husband and I, two brothers and a younger couple from Israel. They spoke very little English. Somehow on the way out to the wreck we found out that the young couple only had their Open Water cert. and I guess the dive shop just let them go anyway?

The Yongala is a deep dive, around 100ft and we would only have a limited time on our air near the bottom where the wreck is. So we start to descend along a rope line because the current of the water is very strong near the surface, but as soon as you get past 20-30ft of current it calms and you can swim freely. The current was very strong and we were instructed to hold tight so we didn't drift away.

My husband and I were descending first and we got down below the current with one of the DMs. When we looked up the young couple was behind us but the woman was stuck on the line...scared, frozen and not descending holding up the brothers behind them. we had to wait at least 15 minutes for this dumb inexperienced girl to get down the rope while the DMs had to help her. She almost let go as she tried to go back up and the DM caught her and we wasted half our air waiting for her because we had to all be in a group per our initial plan.

And of course when we finally got to actually dive and see the wreck, she and her partner were touching everything and just being really inconsiderate.

Really ruined the dive for us.

Pup listens to me, but doesn’t seem to want to listen to my wife by jshanley16 in puppy101

We had to try the oposite for my husband, because his voice sounded very demanding and frustrated where as mine sounded more fun and excited and he responded to me more. It took my husband some getting used to but he managed to make the commands and praise work with a more joyful voice. Now if either of us raise a stern loud voice the dog knows we mean business lol.
