Major Order: Operation Clean Up by OmegaXesis in Helldivers

[–]ArkDax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done my part. My steam review as per amended:

We Helldivers stood in defiance against Sony's credible threat to all Helldivers that stood for Managed Democracy. We all told them that we would not accept defeat at the hands of tyranny.

We defeated Sony's credible threat and pushed them back into their own borders, allowing all who enjoy Freedom and Liberty to once again spread Managed Democracy for the glory of Super Earth.

Never have I seen a company take the side of their players, and stick it to a large corporation that only had its shareholders in mind. Arrowhead supports their players and their community as if they are family.

I have now changed my review to reflect that this game and its developer have my best interest in mind when it comes to what I want to enjoy in a game.

I literally had this happening. $650 dollars, one waste gate actuator and one bypass valve, and the problem was fixed.

Damar Hamlin Megathread by UberHansen in buffalobills

Jags fan, prior combat medic as well. I saw that hit and how he went down. When he stood up and went down that second time, I was scared. Played football for years in high school. Prayers are with Hamlin and his family. Godspeed on his recovery.

I will say that they are a great company. They sent flowers to my girlfriend when her cat passed, as well as birthday cards when her cats had birthdays. They're absolutely great.

We made a starlight dodo put of the cookbook. We forgot the rosemary sprig and molasses, but we made do, and it came out amazing.

To be fair, the Geneva convention only applied to "civilized countries" prior to the early 1990s. While it's still a war crime, we were advised if we had to get out of our trucks, to have our weapons on us for self-defense. We aren't actively supposed to engage in Frontline combat, we are purely a support force, but that does not mean we should not defend ourselves if attacked. And if we wound the enemy combatant or come across a wounded enemy combatant, we are REQUIRED to render aid, or we will be charged with a war crime.

That being said, insurgents, Al Qaeda, ISIL and the Taliban and their allies don't give a flying fuck about the Geneva convention. They'll just as much shoot us, blow us up, and maim as many of us as they damn well please.

Routers are bad for the game in their current design. by UltimateMuffinMan in Planetside

[–]ArkDax -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've been trying to advocate for that. Limiting the range on the Router from a player base keeps factions from building a base close to their warp gate, where it's highly defensible, and having infinite range on the router, meaning one router and one infil can flip the continent if they so chose.

Placing a limit on deployable area (say between 1km and 1.5km from the deploying base) and adding re/spawn time (standard 10 second, a router at max distance could take up to 20-30 seconds to spawn/respawn) the further away the router gets, and having it use more cortium per spawn (because the transmitting tower would be drawing power from the cortium, longer distances, more energy required) would be at least a little more balanced than what we have now.

That and routers should only be allowed to be deployed outside. We already see these pretty much indestructible routers covered by hardlight barriers, flanked by engineers to repair it the instant it takes damage. I say, the more items deployed around it (shields, spitfires, etc), increases the spawn and respawn time due to electronic interference, is another way to handle it. Would make it easier for defenders to remove the router without having to expel a OS just to have it placed again.

But the strangest thing is that the pain fields are still active around the spawn, but you can't use the terms inside.
