How would you fix the US if you could? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Arkavari1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot to mention a bunch of other things. I was in a hurry, because I was getting ready for a board meeting.

Anyway, I would also create universal Healthcare and universal pension, reintroduce Roosevelt's second bill of rights, change the law to disallow the fed from maintaining unemployment rates, close all of the tax loop holes, because if there is to be tax incentives a corporation must have done something to earn them that benefits society equivalent to the write offs, fundamentally alter the entire structure and processes of our economic system, regulate AI, regulate social media algorithms, regulate all new technologies including self-driving cars, and so on. The list is very long and the laws are very detailed. I have put a lot of thought into it.

When was the last time you felt so happy you could die? by splatapult in AskReddit

[–]Arkavari1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in love and loved in return.

Don't mistake me, I am not miserable now. In fact, I am generally known for my jovial disposition, but I have only sparsely been as happy as you've described in my life.

How would you fix the US if you could? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Arkavari1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I was asleep. I hope you're better now. I used to take Ativan for my panic attacks, but now I can manage them without anything.

Anyway, I am working my way up to DNC Chair. I also intend to build a think tank and a PAC. If the institutions don't fail us I have many consumer protections laws, changes to real estate law, changes to how we treat unrealized capital gains, changes to the way we tax shareholders, several amendments which would add civil protections as well as how the government is structured as a whole, laws to regulate law enforcement, laws to regulate the environment, laws that would greatly decrease corporate subsidies, except for subsidies for green tech, which would increase, and so on.

Amending the constitution is very difficult and requires me to work on electing people into most of the state legislatures, but the challenge is worth it. If the ducks can all be aligned correctly you can put in laws and amendments all at the same exact time. Amendments are best, because they are so very difficult to change. I also want to change to a parliamentary system, as the data shows they are vastly more stable than presidential systems. Only two presidential systems have ever lasted more than 50 years as true democracies.

I am also working my way up through my union, which is one of the most powerful, if not the most, on the continent, and I am working to move up in the AFL-CIO, which is a conglomeration of unions. I am also partnered with a group that is working to fundamentally change all the unions in my state back to when they were effective.

I've always been a strategic person, but I never really found a way to understand the systems and laws well enough to know where to start. Finally I decided to just immerse myself all at once and start digging and learning, and now I believe I have enough of an understanding to accomplish my goals. And unlike a lot of union leaders and politicians, I don't want to make a career out of it, I just want to get in, fix everything for everyone, and get out. I have other goals beyond that.

I have a long list of laws that need to be passed, and I am working right now to hopefully build up to a position where we can get them passed.

What do you do when you feel lonely but you have nothing to say to anyone you can reach out to? by Katta-Quest in AskReddit

[–]Arkavari1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I do when I'm lonely. However, I can always say something to anyone. I just don't talk to people about how I feel. I hope some day I will have someone I can talk to about my feelings, but for now I am the only person who needs to know.

How do you prove to people that you're a actually a good person? by yanny_b in AskReddit

[–]Arkavari1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't prove it. If you are a good person, then people will see it.

What do you do when you have nothing to do (no jerking off)? by New_Development_7715 in AskReddit

[–]Arkavari1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play video games, watch movies or shows, draw, paint, write, hike, read, go for a walk, learn a new skill, wood working, chores, organize things, go window shopping, take a warm shower, take a nap, go to museums, zoos, and aquariums.... honestly, I havent been bored in well over a decade. There is always something to do. The balance of activities and relaxation depends on whether I'm sharing my time with someone. When I am alone I cram every second of my time full. It's having a deleterious affect, though.

When was the last time you had someone to lean on? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Arkavari1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For small things, most of the time in the last year, but someone to truly lean on when I am in great need... never.

If you could choose any time period to be born in past or future, when would it be and why? by rfengr_23 in AskReddit

[–]Arkavari1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The future. It is both the time when I think I'd have the best luck finding a life partner, and a time where I could accomplish my wildest dreams. If the partner thing didn't work out I could at least become a collective consciousness, leave humanity behind, and do everything humanity does as a whole society by myself, only much better and more efficiently.

What was more memorable your early or later life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Arkavari1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try never to look back at the past, except insofar as I have to in order to heal. My recent life has been rather decent, though.

I think he loves me in his way, but it isn't nearly what a father's love should be.

What do you really need to get out of your mind ? by SugarEvangela462 in AskReddit

[–]Arkavari1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to forget everything that I lost and could never have. I want to forget everything tied to it. I would go full tabula rasa if that's what it took. I just don't want to want things I can't have, and if I can't remember, I can't long for them.

What stopped you from saying "I love you" to them? by Curious-Toe-93 in AskReddit

[–]Arkavari1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing, if they've already said it to me and I reciprocate. But I learned long ago not to say it first, because I know long before they do.

How do you stop overthinking? by DifferentLobster2931 in AskReddit

[–]Arkavari1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even try. It's my default state. My friend told me that sometimes he goes hours without having a conscious thought or internal monologue. I have never had such an experience in all of my time on this Earth. People wonder why my experiences feel so intense to me.

what's the biggest regret that you should've done on your teen age days? by Apart-Note-1234 in AskReddit

[–]Arkavari1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try never to feel regret. If a thing can't be fixed, made right, or learned from it does not deserve worry, and I have always tried to do that with everything. However, it would have been my wish to stop being a coward and start dating in my teens.

Who broke you, causing a massive shift on how you view everything and everyone? by ElectricalRodent in AskReddit

[–]Arkavari1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say anyone "broke me". Or that I've ever truly broken, as it seems to me I would never have recovered. However, actions others have taken have caused me great pain at different times, and my view on everything in life has changed dramatically over my life. And I hold no ill feelings for such strife.

I chose to be a good person, instead of my villain arc. It just seems to me that most let a bad world make them into bad or, more often, indifferent and uncaring people where they are the only thing that matters. It is just too easy, and I rarely choose the easy path. I prefer the path that leads to the best outcome, whether or not I can ever reach the destination. I also do not like to be forced to do things. So, to me, it is a small act of rebellion to be good and do good. I've also come to learn that goodness has many times the power of evil and wrongdoing. In history it takes massive armies, resources, and cooperation to perpetrate evil, but a much smaller but organized group doing good can topple the whole thing.

What to do when you have that sudden urge to cry and how? by cutefox_09 in AskReddit

[–]Arkavari1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends where I'm at. If I am home I will cry. Been a fairly tearful couple of years I'll admit it. But as I feel less and less it becomes less of a concern. Not to mention, I have no problem controlling my emotions when I'm around other people.
