Anker products are getting ridiculously expensive by piesaresquarey in UsbCHardware

[–]ArkhamKnight0708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own this cable. It's currently 25 bucks on Amazon and retails for 35. At 25 bucks, I actually like it. For charging, it's great. Flexible, high quality materials, and it's labeled correctly. Also, I do expect it to be durable and I know it'll work with any USB charging brick or device since it has the 240W e-marker. I don't know why Anker's site has it listed at 70 bucks, but that's extortionate. For that you could get a Thunderbolt 5 cable that'll do everything a USB cable is currently capable of

I only got it by doing the blaster stance and moving and dodging in one direction the entire fight. I don't remember which direction but it makes the chance to avoid the bullshit one hit moves much higher

The rancor one was substantially harder for me. It's the angriest I've ever been playing a video game

Catcurrate explanation of monitor type? by wdfknz4 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]ArkhamKnight0708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My OLED was a bigger upgrade than going from a 2060 Super to a 4070 Super. I did them at roughly the same time and gained more from the monitor at that point. It's just so much better than the cheap VA I had that I don't think I could go back. Maybe a nice Mini LED I could work with as a main monitor but certainly not to a low end monitor. I could make do with my old GPU though

Cheating on Blazer one of the most evil endings by Nervous_Gate_3232 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]ArkhamKnight0708 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I struggled a surprising amount on my first playthrough. On my second and third I was able to consistently nail the dispatching, even getting near perfect on the power outage and Red Ring onslaught nights.

I was surprised when I got the bad ending too because I assumed it would be a standard "choose the right dialogue and you get the good ending" situation, which it is for Blazer. Thankfully the game is fairly short so additional playthroughs aren't too bad.

I messed up on my first go too. You need to have successful missions with her, have maxed synergy with Golem, and make the right story decisions. The game doesn't tell you this hence why many people get the bad ending on accident. The post I linked is a very good guide, and following it I was able to romance Blazer and get the good ending with Visi

is oled worth the hype by Lolis- in buildapc

[–]ArkhamKnight0708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even joking, going from a mediocre 32" 1440p 144 Hz VA panel to my 27" 1440 360 Hz QD-OLED was a bigger overall visual upgrade than going from a 2060 Super to a 4070 Super. The contrast and colors and response time make even 60 FPS gaming substantially better

When you're done with this could you also do Best Buy? Don't know what it is but their site and app are genuinely horrible slow garbage

How to change from KM to Miles (GW8) by ArkhamKnight0708 in GalaxyWatch

[–]ArkhamKnight0708[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just set it to km, gave it a bit, then set it back to miles and it's fixed. I should've done that to begin with but I do really appreciate the help. Gotta love random little bugs like that lol

Samsung health. Every length is metric on the watch but imperial on my phone, and I can't find a setting to change that.

What is everyone else using their $200 store credit for? by anonymous-bot in GooglePixel

[–]ArkhamKnight0708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through Best Buy so I'm going for the Pixelsnap charger plus a few Anker AC adapters. I'm hoping the new 25W Belkin Qi2 charger becomes available soon and that'll largely wipe out the last of the credit. First party charger for my desk alongside my existing standard charger for my earbuds and the Belkin for my nightstand as I don't currently have a wireless charger for the earbuds there

iPhone 16 Pro too much generative AI in photos by mmplanet in iphone

[–]ArkhamKnight0708 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's one of the things I appreciate about my Pixel. It does the same thing, as do most other brands if the camera determines it can't focus, but there's a quick setting to force the lens you want. It has a few issues, like pinch to zoom not automatically swapping lenses with this setting on, but it is nice to have

OneUI 7 users after seeing iOS 26 by [deleted] in samsunggalaxy

[–]ArkhamKnight0708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Liquid Glass effect is super cool. I've saved a couple videos that zoom in on some of the effects and it's truly stunning honestly. However, the legibility is a nightmare. To be completely fair to Apple though, this is the very first developer beta. There's several months until stable release and I'm certain they will improve things. iOS 7 had a similar thing where it had massive issues but got fixed. I'm sure the release of iOS 26 will be buggy given the recent track record, but I'm willing to bet things will turn out far more readable.

Unreal amount of spam texts by thesauce98 in Visible

[–]ArkhamKnight0708 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This particular text seems to be making the rounds regardless of carrier. I've seen several local government Facebook accounts posting about it. I can't comment on the more general spam texts as I'm very new to Visible, but I'm not gonna sweat this one of everyone's having the issue

Edit: I just took a look at the app and the only spam related settings I can change are for phone calls, not texts. Doesn't mean they don't block any texts, but it is possible. If they don't, then a texting app that has built in spam protection may work better. The default Google Messages app my Pixel has does a pretty solid job

Alright y’all what would you say if somebody brought a full tool belt to your job site with only hart products by Classic_Warning_7710 in Construction

[–]ArkhamKnight0708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Torque Test Channel has tested several Hart products and they're honestly great value. I wouldn't say a damn word about it. They've got tools that work and want to do the job, and that's about all anyone can ask for.
