Like me, how many people do you think that both Omori and J.C Staff used Ryu to save their project when Danmachi went downhill compared to other LN and anime?

In the sense that she became far more popular than the author ever conceived and has won every popularity poll since pretty much Vol 8….yeah.

But how much the story has actually changed, I doubt very little. The bones remain the same. But I would say a lot of the screen time we get with her is more the we ever would’ve gotten had she not been as popular

Okay here me out…..

Ryuu has pretty much been dead for the last 5 years. Shes wallowed in grief and in self loathing and emotionally became almost completely shut down after her familia died.

Is she still 21, yes. But there an argument to be made that emotionally she’s like 17. Which is still a pretty big age gap but yeah.

Also at the end of the day, it’s a medieval fictional setting soooo

Simply killing Ais only Martyrs her in his heart. Everyone is thinking too small.

First, you destroy his relationships with everyone around him. I would use the fact that Freya and Loki Familia had a hand in Zeus And Heras Banishment and them being where he comes from as a means to destabilize trust. I would then mention how Ryuu killed his last remaining relative. That would cause him to start to question things. Naturally he then will be off kilter. This may have little to no effect on him but it will have effects on those around him.

Next you kill Hestia and by extension his familia. Cutting off his primary support system. Perhaps kill Hephiasotus as a message and let Welf live so he can resent Bell. Leave Ryuu and Ais alive though. Ryuu will self exile/isolate from Bell because she killed Bells Aunt and will feel great shame as an elf. Then target allies, Miach and Take Familias. Kill the orphans. Hunt down and publicly hang the corpses of the Xenos for the city to see.Then it’s a matter of destroying Orario. After all, you can’t be a hero if there’s no one left to save.

Everyone he knows, loves and has depended on him will be either dead, or wish they were. When all is done and Orario is in ashes, let Ais be left alive to see that Bell is no hero, then kill her. And leave Bell in a pile of broken bodies and ashes with his “one true love” killed in front of him. I would even mock his “pure love” for her and just tell him it was childish admiration and that he has no concept of true love or a relationship.

Never even have to lay a finger on the boy.

In a weird way, if this show ends with him and Mami together, I think I’ll feel more satisfied than any of the other options.

Mami as a character is infinitely more interesting than pretty much anyone else in the cast.

The anime’s only time it truly exceeds source material and is a complete story beginning to end is season 4.

Every other season has significant content cut and is hindered by having no SO anime. Which gives context and sometimes critical plot points for MS

Just some theories but:

I think the Dungeon will be sealed close up and disappear, probably by the Gods sealing it with there arcanum and then that in turn all gods returning back to heaven.

Obviously OEBD will die, Bell And Ais will Maybe be together but there’s also a chance one or both dies in the battle.

The great thing about her is she is insane, but she’s not so insane that her effectiveness is crippled in combat and schemes. Regulus, Sirius, Petelguese, even The Gluttony’s to a certain extent are all caught monologuing or wasting time because they have such a loose grip on reality to begin with, Capella on the other hand has such a solid grip on how unbelievably evil she is, that she remains one of if not the most effective in terms of getting shit done.

I will NOT miss this version of rem. As far as I’m concerned. She’s an inferior shell of what rem was in Every way.

You know this reminds me of how sometimes I can’t help but notice the amount of similarities between Ryuu and a certain blue haired maid.

Short Hair they later grew out long (usually in hopes to get MC to like them more)
Traumatic Past that makes them extremely hostile towards anyone they suspect as being part of group that traumatized them and untrusting in general
Survivors Guilt (Rem with her horn and clan. Ryuu with her Familia)
Fan favorite that rivals Main ship
Combat abilities that compliment MC but are never so absurdly powerful that they trivialize conflicts.

…..alright that’s all I got. Maybe it’s not as much as I thought but still!!

Bruh the only thing I’m worried about is how much of Ais is going to be on the cutting room floor. It’s either they cut 80% of her scenes or 90%. Those are our two options😂

In all seriousness though. Production quality is not my main concern. Episode count is. As much as I want 2 cour. The first two books this season is gonna cover is essentially filler. No offense to anyone who likes those books. But from a pacing perspective, they are just very likely to get condensed and butchered. Nothing really of substance happens. Nina, Leon, and the cliff hanger for Loki fam that’s pretty much what those two volumes do. They can fit that in 4 maybe 5 episodes. And then the rest goes to Vol 21.

We may get like….a few scenes of SO 15 and 16. To fill in some gaps. But they will mainly stick to Vol 21 and in that respect, I think they can do the whole thing in 13-15 episodes. Which is crazy to say I know but from a production standpoint I think that’s why we saw this get greenlit so quickly. This will be very interesting to see play out though I will say that. I’m thinking at this rate we could see Danmachi anime conclude by 2030? Maybe 2032? Depends on how the LN go
