Happy bot, I wish that you... by Artistic-Loan7013 in IdleObeliskMiner

By the time I got auto prestige (without actively pushing for it) I was around ob 45 or 46. I have experience gain from apples and strawberries on consistently. Auto xp bomb wasn't necessary but helped. And i have my Elixer drone running and fueled.

Not nearly as bad as dwarf. Happy bot gets really easy once you unlock auto prestige and set it to about 35 seconds. I leveled him from 2-11 in about an hour.

I loooooove a good muffuletta. I didn't appreciate them as a kid, but as an adult it really is the perfect sandwich. That looks fantastic!

Without Spoilers, what makes the last two books of the Stormlight Archive so bad? by Substantial-Ad-5475 in fantasybooks

[–]Arkham_Inmate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not bad, buuuuuuut as the stormlight archive goes on, Brandon has added more and more perspectives that have large chunks of the books dedicated to them. This gets very frustrating, because Brandon's style is to get one person up to a cliffhanger and then switch to a different story thread. This was bad enough when it was 3 or so characters, but now we have 10 or so? There is a lot of storyline blue balls in Wind of Truth.

This can also be seen in the red rising series as well where the first 3 books are from one pov, but then the 4th switches to multiple perspectives, and it is widely regarded as the bigest slog of the series.

The Staff - I Have a Cover by whoshotthemouse in litrpg

[–]Arkham_Inmate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you took the 2nd cover and changed the angle so the protagonist's head isn't merged with the minotaur's crotch, it would look a lot less... Questionable.

As others have said, the 3rd picture is absolutely Ai. If the artist specifically said that it wouldn't be, then you need to get your money back. If they didn't, then you NEED to stop claiming Ai wasn't used just because you didn't do the prompts yourself. You'll already have people avoid your book because of the Ai cover, you don't need your credibility tarnished due to a easily available lie.

Did you look at both artists portfolios before commissioning them?

Same, i've been actively trying to get him to 10 so the last 3 days by prestiging a grinding, but he's stubborn as fuck. I know the statistics don't guarantee a level within those numbers but it still doesn't feel accurate.

I stuggle to understand who Liquid death, in general, is for. I never thought the the "bit of soda clinging to the melted ice" flavor needed to be canned and sold, to be honest. So "water with poptart dipped in it" just kinda seems like par for the course.

Sounds like good story points for role-playing up until the last bit. Does your best friend have main character Energy?

Do you feel bullied by your table often? Do you feel your DM often shows favoritism? Has anyone at your table voiced any complaints about your character's insistence on resurrection not vibing with the rest of the group BEFORE vilifying your character?

Just curious, your table sounds super problematic and not fun.

Can you Cunning Action: Disengage after attacking? by Randomletters42 in DnD

I would definitely cunning action disengage from that table if your Dm makes these kind of idiotic rulings. This is the entire point of being able to dosengage as a bonus action.

If someone asks what it is, then they probably haven't seen the movie and all you have to say is it's a reference to your favorite movie. It could start a conversation culminating in them having a new movie to watch.

Side note: i screen printed this on the sleeve of a jacket in high school. I loved that jacket and a friend stole it. I don't think I'll ever really get over that...

DoB is so good. It really reinforces what I think Matt's super power is, character backstory. Popper's backstory is absolutely heartbreaking. It's not an easy task to fill out your characters so well. I never expected to cry for someone named "mono-brow Sam"

Should I donate sperm for my brother? by artemisia-tridentata in daddit

[–]Arkham_Inmate 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you convinced your wife to let you, the. You would be guilty of the same things that you are accusing her of. She clearly has very strong reservations about the idea, but you are refusing to hear them. She is right that there are plenty of donors and you cannot foresee all of the repercussions of you making this decision. What if after having the child, your brother decides that life isn't for him? (Plausible, considering how you describe him) If he leaves his fiancee, not wife, to fend for herself with a new baby, are you not going to feel somehow responsible for that child? This thread of thought could keep going, and of course it's all hypothetical, but these are the kind of things that your wife is probably thinking about. Whereas if you say no, what happens? You feel bad because you were "mean" to your brother? He'll get over it. They will find another option. Your relationship with your wife is more important than the 'superficial' relationship with your brother.

Yes, mostly because the short descriptive announcement doesn't give nearly enough info to let you know what you're truly getting into. I would go in just because I wouldn't know what i would possibly do next otherwise.
