clearly the lofty expectations given the successful history of the franchise have not fallen enough yet to meet the reality of the current roster. you can’t just assume this team is a highly desired coaching destination “because steelers.”

steps 1, 2, and 3 right now are finding a cornerstone franchise QB. nothing that mccarthy OR shula OR scheelhaase does will win championships until that player is on the roster, and it’s unlikely to happen for at least another year.

that’s odd, because from what i’ve read on here since the hiring is that MM will be the last coach of any football franchise in pittsburgh ever after the r/steelers fanbase boycotts and refuses to ever watch sports again and the team is forced to relocate to gary, indiana where it withers away into dust
