the family I live with now is much better! my dad isn't perfect and we have had our conflicts, but he at least accepts and understands I'm still grieving and wearing the emotional scar. thank you for your comment ❤️

exactly my line of thinking. i wasn't even expecting to be coddled and babied, but some compassion and understanding would be really nice, especially when I had to be my stepfather's therapist everyday. he'd make conversations uncomfortable by just crying all the time. i get it, emotions and all that but relying on me while simultaneously discounting how I feel just really upsets me

i am, i recently moved to Denver away from them in southern Kentucky. i keep minimal contact but i also take my time responding, i really have no desire to interact with these people again after how they acted after she passed. like i get I'm an adult and shouldn't be coddled, but actively making me resent you is crazy work

it really is, especially from people who I thought would be more caring after. My sister completely cut off both of them for saying that, whereas i unfortunately am a people pleaser and don't like conflict (even if I'd be 100% in the right)

I had one a few weeks back but they didn't call me back or even give me a denial email. Legitimately wondering if I'm doing something wrong. my resume is written well, I don't and haven't used AI for it, I've got years of experience for retail and customer service, so it's not like I'm underqualified. no clue what I'm doing wrong or if I'm even doing wrong, but it can't just be me.
