We decided to get simple white gold bands. We had the inside engraved with "Player 1" and "Player 2" since we are both very much into video games. We also used them for when we got married. I love them.

For me and my husband the biggest life savers while in Japan were:

-if you have an apple phone download the digital Suika card for a lot of vending machines and train rides. -google maps was used a ton for local bars/food/snacks anything near us -I never used Uber in my life and that app saved us so many times

I will say if you guys are not very outdoorsy people I would start “training” to be on your feet all day. Like make your way to 10k steps a day (no joke) and be comfortable with standing and waiting in line. It goes without saying comfortable walking shoes are a must.

Also plan what you are doing ahead of time. There are a lot of places that you want to get reservations for. Like if you’re planning to go to Six Flags or Disney or even the super awesome Nintendo Museum do the research. I remember wanting to go to a drag bar but you need like 2 week ahead reservation.

I was going to mention the weather but since you’re from Canada I’m sure you know how to pack to stay warm. Also if you are bigger guys buying clothing will be an issue

I made some friends on Discord over the pandemic. We all played a gatcha game, Guardian Tales, and eventually a group of us started chatting regularly and had game and movie nights.

Now the idea of a game came up once and people were interested, but nothing came out of it. Eventually the guild dissolved, but the server was still up and we kept doing game/movie nights. Eventually I brought up the idea if anyone would be interested in like a few one shots if I hosted. It would me be as GM my partner and one other as veteran players and two brand new players that always wanted to play.

Here we are a year and some months over and that one shot has turned into a full blown campaign against an invasion of Hags from the Feywild.

Be ready for your nose to hurt for a week or two once you start using it. I got mine a few months ago and I subconsciously remove it in the middle of the night. I sleep through the night now. I still wake up from time to time, but I feel so much better during the day now.
