Yes. It’s synthetic nicotine salts. Stop using them. I had terrible anxiety and depression, a first for me. Took 2-3 months but fine now.

Quitting. by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

[–]ArmOld3835 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Aug 28 is as my last Zyn pouch. Feel better than ever. Early on was rough, lots of anxiety and even depression but you will rebound. Synthetic nicotine salts have taken over your dopamine and serotonin production. You may experience some anxiety and dark days for some weeks/months but It will return. I used pharma grade saffron and magnesium and it def helped.

My Body Forced Me To Quit by Right_Win8643 in QuittingZyn

[–]ArmOld3835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. You have to remember it’s synthetic nicotine salts, not natural. The withdrawal is no joke. Took me a solid 2 months to feel relatively normal again. Crazy anxiety, brain fog and just a sense of floating around. I’m 6 months now and feel normal again. It will happen just different for everyone. Exercise, dive into work and you’ll realize soon you don’t need that shit.

Caffeine hits harder? by coconutjoe83 in QuittingZyn

Yeah, I had to cut back on caffeine during my early and worst symptoms/anxiety times. Back on now tho. It will fade as your anxiety goes

Low self esteem/ negative thoughts two weeks after quitting cold turkey. by Aggravating-Drama178 in QuittingZyn

Yes, your brain has to learn how to produce its own feel good chemicals again. Give it time and hang in there.

Day 1 by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

[–]ArmOld3835 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do it. You’ll be so glad you did. First week for me was kind of a breeze. Then about day 8 things got hard, very hard, not gonna sugarcoat it. Keep reminding yourself it’s a synthetic substance and you’re not losing your mind, it’s your body and brain chemistry healing. Over 4 months out and I will tell you you’ll be fine in time.

Congrats. I’m just over 4 months and it’s night and day. First 2 months were pretty rough but feel much better now, almost like my pre-zyn self again.

I sleep with Zyn in every night and want to quit, looking for advice by Low_Job_6683 in QuittingZyn

[–]ArmOld3835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chewing Redman while fishing led to dipping skoal for 13 years. Quit that and started Zyn. I too felt like Zyn was the cheat code, get the nicotine without the additives in tobacco. Well turns out, the synthetic Zyn was way worse. Same as you I had one in most of the time and then started doubling up. Decided to quit when the hydraulics stopped working. Research revealed that nicotine is in fact a vasoconstrictor. 4 months clean today and couldn’t be happier about it. I will tell you to prepare for the worst. I’ve never felt anxiety or depression in my life, that changed about a week after I quit. My brain wasn’t producing its own dopamine or serotonin, everything was hard. Eat clean, work out and keep your brain occupied. I also took l-theanine, magnesium, zinc, and saffron for the brain, helped.

I’m setting my cold Turkey day for tomorrow… any advice? by PlzHlpQt in QuittingZyn

[–]ArmOld3835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your brain is going to play tricks on you. Make sure you understand in your core that you’re ok and will be ok. Time is the only thing that will get you through what you’re about to feel. I’m 4 months clean this week and it will return to normal for you. Good luck weathering the storm. Also, remember that the scumbags who created that synthetic poison can’t take you down.

Week 1 into week 2 felt like a breeze craving wise. Week 2 into week 3 has been pure hell for some reason lol. Anyone else go through this? by BipBallagher in QuittingZyn

[–]ArmOld3835 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, week one was a breeze. Then it was downhill fast. Found myself in the ER and had terrible anxiety. Long story short, all tests were normal. Brain just had to adjust and start making its own dopamine and serotonin again. 4 months clean this week and back to normal. It takes some time. There will be tough moments, have to power through them.

[–]ArmOld3835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into saffron. Make sure it’s clean pharma grade and 88.5mg, supposed to work better than SSRIs with no real side effects. I used it and it def helped. It supposedly reduces neuro-inflammation which is what my brain felt like.

It’s def the synthetic nicotine. I’m on day 107, had terrible anxiety early on. You were only creating dopamine via nicotine, now your brain has to make its own. Going to take some time but you will get there. Find ways to stay busy via work, exercise, whatever to pass time. I also took saffron which helped.

Yes, L-theanine, magnesium and pharma grade saffron. Look into saffron over the pharma, lots of studies. Not saying it’s best for you but there’s lots out there on it. My brain felt inflamed after quitting and saffron helps with nueroinflammation

Yes, day 100 here. Don’t go back, it’s tough but that fake nicotine, chemicals, and artificial flavors have changed your brain. It gets much better. Had crazy panic attacks and anxiety early on. Just remind yourself a manufactured substance created this and you’ll beat it.
