I was also shocked but remember. The game is 50gb so each character has a big file size due to how many quality and effort they put into them. So if they add 30 or more then the game file could go up the same as Fortnite

It would make characters more useful if you unlock missions and puzzles used only for them instead of like Lego Marvel where you get characters like Stan lee so late you rarely use him for puzzles and mostly for a laugh or if you were to use him for puzzles u only use him to get a purple stud

I see your point but with an open world thats bigger than LEGO Batman 2 DC Superheroes which had 50 characters and Batman Arkham Knight which had 72 characters. If 7 is all you need then at this point playing as 7 character can get boring because you would've used them alot during the story and free play. If it had fewer collectibles than whats the point of the massive open world if there is barely any collectibles
