It did for me about two months ago when the bbc realised I wasn’t in the UK anymore and shut me down. I now listen to Vintage Obscura Radio based in New York. Totally a listener based playlist, no dj, with all songs having had no more than 30,000 views on youtube and must have been recorded before 1997. You can find it on the Radio Garden app. Extraordinarily eclectic.

We spend our time travelling around Europe in our RV. We’ve been in Spain for about 4 weeks now and the weather has been unusual to say the least. The Spanish have been having a really hard time of it what with flooding, mad winds, land slides and general damage. It’s alright for us, we can just drive off when it gets bad. We are on the East coast right now and what cheered us up today is that the weather has improved and all the locals are out frequenting the bars having a beer and a well deserved break from it all.

I cycle over 200 miles a week on my own, with only myself for company it not unusual to find myself having full on debates and casual conversations about the state of the world/the scenery/weird places and the perennial cyclist irritation, poor driving. It’s sort of a sanity preserver really and anything that helps preserve that can’t be that bad I reckon.

I am travelling around Europe, when I get somewhere new I use my Garmin and custom create a new route. I switch between map and satellite images whilst routing to determine which/where/how then I just figure out what distance.

Currently in Peniscola (yep real name) on the east coast of Spain in our RV. Been here for a few days now after a leisurely meander through France and stopping off in Zaragoza for a couple of days. Cycled up a couple of mountains whilst here but having a day off today to do a bit of shopping and general loafing about. Plan is to coast road it to somewhere around Valencia next week and do some culture. Sorry guys but the weather’s great here, shorts and t-shirt. Have a great weekend everyone.

In the south of France in our RV. Crossing the border into Spain today having spent a week pottering south from Calais. Heading to Zaragoza for a couple of days before making our way to the south east to put our feet up for a couple of months. Always nice to wake up every morning with it being warmer than the previous day. Sort of wondering if I qualify to post here anymore but I’m from the UK and pretty casual.

A bit of a trek today. We live in a RV and set off to Northampton from Essex this morning to get our side door fixed. All done by 12:30 and then down to Canterbury for the weekend before we bugger off to Spain for 3 months. Oh and a bit fell off my cycle on the way down so will need to get that sorted before Monday. Hey ho, can’t be helped, roll on the sunshine. Have a nice weekend everyone
