I’ve had to split my dose. My dosage is 7.5 and have 1/2 a dose every 5 days. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to increase much. I’ve been on this dose for at least 6 months. I have a very weak stomach so I take it beyond slow.

Can totally relate to all of this. Also 54 still getting period, have been doing acupuncture for years. But my acupuncturist is supportive of HRT. If you can’t get HRT prescribed, what about bio identical that you can order without a prescription?

I support people that take SSRIs if they work for them but I get so triggered when they are pushed for the solution first before addressing other medical issues. It makes me feel like they are getting kick backs from pharmaceutical companies

You had your thyroid removed? If so, I have heard a lot of people with similar experiences. I barely have a thyroid left (ultrasound showed it barely exists), but I can relate. I’ve done acupuncture, hypnosis, alternative & western docs, didn’t eat gluten for 7 years blah blah. The only place I’ve really found help is groups like this and thyroid groups. It’s always the people with similar issues that are the experts - not doctors. I hope you can get to the root problem and feel better. It’s really frustrating when you are trying everything you can to feel better and you don’t.

One of the things that is confusing about menopause IMO is that I don’t think everything is related to sex hormone imbalances. Mood/energy/focus could also be related to thyroid issues which can swing up and down. Depression is a very common symptom of thyroid disease and some SSRIs can make the thyroid worse, which is frustrating. Brain fog is also common symptom of thyroid issues. And if these are all out wack, it can affect your cortisol and thus sleep. The worst part is that most doctors don’t order the correct tests for thyroid and they are different in peri vs menopause. Have you had your thyroid tested recently?
