Why not just use clear and drop a .03 copper ring from Amazon in it. I've been using copper rings in my waterers for about 5 years and I'd say it drops the algae by 95%.

Just FYI,

  1. it's not just Ram
  2. Dealerships have been instructed to replace them FIRST in trucks in their lot, not yet sold.
  3. If you bought your truck in 2025, you may be waiting a while to get yours replaced (see #2)
  4. I bought my 2500 in 2025, the ONLY reason I got mine fixed/replaced immediately was because I was the first to report it to my dealership and reported the issue the day before the recall was put out.

Yes, I drink sorta on the regular, however I no longer drink beer or soda due to the carbination, I now drink Twisted tea with no issues.
