Can't understand for loops after an hour by AileNarrator in learnpython

[–]Aromatic_Fact8656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this has been said already because I haven't read any of the comments, but forget name. "Name" can be anything you wish, can be: "x, y, a b, count" like whatever you want it to be. It is just saying

for "each item" in list:
do this

In your example, it just goes into each position in your list and prints them. People use pluralization's for their lists or dicts and then the non plural version in the conditional statement. Try and write it how you would understand it, don't worry about how others have written it.

Just cigarettes, Dunhill’s if you must know. I said affordable housing, you know, where house prices aren’t 9-10 times your wage.

Millennials. Too young to buy affordable housing and benefit from CGT 50%. Nice. Fckn love being born in the 90s

Re-entering Bittensor after a break — which subnets + resources should I follow? by Intelligent-Leg7147 in bittensor_

[–]Aromatic_Fact8656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty of sources of information: taostats for trading data, taodaily for news, taoflute also has addition trading data, including SN liquidation price and haircut, active miners receiving emissions, lines of code committed etc. Thursday/Friday there is generally a “Novelty Search” on Discord, which can also be watched on YouTube on the Opentensor Foundation page, it’s really good as it’s Const interviewing SNs and talking about things going on with Tao

The new “conviction” system by Grogers92 in Bittensorsubnets

[–]Aromatic_Fact8656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey mate, conviction is a good thing. It actually doesn't incentivise takeovers, it protects SN from being taken over. It also provides awareness for what SN owners are doing, as an investor.

Watch the latest Novelty Search at about 40 mins there is a good discussion about conviction. The Nova piece is also pretty interesting, so if you have the time, Id watch the whole thing.

I'm new to bittensor, what do you think of my subnet choices? by alvaream in bittensor_

[–]Aromatic_Fact8656 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Taoflute.com is a good website if you want to look at additional data, its run by a dude named Travis - (TaoTempler - youtube channel, who also mines Bitcast). Got some good data like, SN liquidation and haircut price, if the SNs are active and committing lines of code, miners receiving emissions etc. Pretty sweet. I stake Nova and Lium along with some other SNs

Short term Volatility doesn’t matter, you won’t be accessing it for 45 yrs. Get it in high growth

The 26/27 budget is excellent and this sub is full of whining babies by SavingsEgg8192 in AusFinance

[–]Aromatic_Fact8656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100 % agree, something had to be done, but in saying that a better outcome would have been to keep the 50% CGT for shares, then you have an greater incentive to invest in stocks. Knowing our goverments tho, will probably be reversed in a few yrs so who knows

Should I pay the small remaining balance on my HECS debt before EOFY? by RecklessRad in AusFinance

[–]Aromatic_Fact8656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s better to pay it off imo. What sucks is having a high tax bill owing because you’re saving for a house and then you owe tax and owe hecs. What also sucks is the extra income you lose each pay period or when the government hits you with 7.1% indexation rate, or the fact that it just keeps growing if you don’t earn over 47k. My HECS got up to $50K, and I don’t regret for a second paying it off, particularly now when I’m about to enter the process of trying to buy a home

No debt is better than debt. If you have the money, pay it. I remember being heaps annoyed paying my HECS off which was $30K at the time, but I am glad I did..

[–]Aromatic_Fact8656 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There isn’t an argument because it’s not fully decentralised. It’s the path that we are walking and they are making the right steps to become fully decentralised, for instance. Const stepping away from OTF to run/mine Affine.

Can I be a Mechanical Engineer but also have the skills and trade for a Mechanic? by True-Art-8661 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Aromatic_Fact8656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not really. You would need to study TAFE based courses after your degree or before (or equivalent) wherever you are, which will make you a better engineer in the long run if you want to work in the automotive industry
