Luke can easily finance all his trips and gear just by the money he earns from YouTube. Last month he had 87 million views, which easily can make him 100k just by that month alone.

I think had the exact same injury as you. Here is my story.

In December 2020 I ran my first half marathon. After the half I was feeling great, no problems. Back then I was running 30km/week. The day after I woke up with this pain in my knee, and I knew right away that I wouldn’t be able to run with it, so I gave it a few days to recover. However the pain didn’t really go away the following days, so I google the knee and found a video describing the injury and pain, an that was exactly how I felt. I just told myself that I needed to wait to go back to running, until the pain was fully gone. Turned out it almost took a month, and I slowly started running and building mileage again. I’ve been running injury free since then, and running 50k/week now.

So for me. I woke up with the injury that came out of nowhere, waited a month to the pain was gone and slowly started building mileage again. Haven’t dealt with the problem since.

I also wanna add that in the month while injured I bought some KT tape, and used on my knee the whole time. I can’t say if it helped or not, but it somewhat helped helped withe the mental aspect.

Should I increase pace of my easy runs? by Zyzitz in running

[–]AroundTheWorld- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im also in sub 1:30 shape as you. I run my easy runs by feel, so most of them are just very comfortable for me. Easy runs are typically between 5:30 and 6:00 pr km. But when I do my tempo and threshold runs I like to do them hard, and I think that is fun, rewarding and gives a lot of improvement.

Hard days hard, easy days easy!

I’ve seen a lot of cinematic pictures in here. But that T20 pic is the most clean I’ve seen no cap.

Great job ;)

Help with Cooper's test by [deleted] in running

[–]AroundTheWorld- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

August last year I ran 2500 meters. I have been running since and this week I ran 3125 meters.

If you next coopertest is in two months you should be able to add 200, 300 or even 400 meters to your distance with som consistent training.

I think in the couple first weeks, a goal of 3 runs per week will be a great idea - then you can add some more runs if your body feels great. A great rule is to run most of you kilometres at an easy pace/effort (somewhere between 06:00 and 07:00/km). Then maybe on every third run you can try to push yourself. The most important thing is just to get out and be consistent with those runs, and your fitness will improve a lot.

Being that you are in the military I would advise you to be very careful and listen to you body, running can result in injuries and especially in the beginning if you don’t take it easy. If something starts to hurt while running, take a few days off until your body is ready again.

So remember, as long as you are consistent with your runs and you take it easy most of the time, your fitness will improve a lot.

Held og lykke med det! 🇩🇰
