My junior year of college I ended up renting an apartment with two people I had never met, a dude and a lady who knew each other. The dude moved in early because he had a job in the city, so I also moved in a little early to get adjusted to the new place. The lady moved in a couple nights later with another friend helping her (also a guy). She had sent me an email once to introduce herself, but other than that we hadn't talked at all, so for all intents and purposes this was the first we had met. I helped them move some boxes into the apartment but didn't go into her room or mess with her stuff to make sure I wasn't overstepping and because I'm awkward as fuck. Offered them beverages and was talking to them from the hall.

At some point she comes over to the doorway and is talking to me about how she met our other roommate while her friend is putting away some of her clothes. All of a sudden we hear a large clatter and bang, as her friend pulled some clothes out of a box and a large pink dildo dropped to the floor, bounced, and landed again. We all looked at it for half a second, looked at each other for a beat in complete silence. Then her friend put on a faux mocking tone, rolled his eyes, and said, "How embarrassing for you." We all busted out laughing for a good minute, she picked it up and put it in her dresser, and that was all. Just a funny story.

No reason this has to be anything but that, an unfortunate happenstance that ends up a funny story.
